Forgiveness and Morality. 330 $aThis book sets out to deepen our moral understanding by thinking about forgiveness: what does it mean for our understanding of morality that there is such a thing as forgiveness? Forgiveness is a challenge to moral philosophy, for forgiveness challenges us: it calls me to understand my relations to others, and thereby myself, in a new way. Without arguing for or against forgiveness, the present study tries to describe these challenges. These challenges concern both forgiving and asking for forgiveness. The latter is especially important in this context: what does the need to be forgiven mean? In the light of such questions, central issues in the philosophy of forgiveness are critically discussed, about the reasons and conditions for forgiveness, but mostly the focus is on new questions, about the relation of forgiveness to plurality, virtue, death, the processes of moral change and development, and the possibility of feeling at home in the world. 606 $aEthics 606 $aNormativity (Ethics) 606 $aMoral Philosophy and Applied Ethics 606 $aNormative Ethics 615 0$aEthics. 615 0$aNormativity (Ethics) 615 14$aMoral Philosophy and Applied Ethics. 615 24$aNormative Ethics. 676 $a179.9 676 $a179.9 700 $aStrandberg$b Hugo$f1975-$01074777 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910484510003321 996 $aForgiveness and moral understanding$92581587 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02612nam 22004935 450 001 9910337808203321 005 20240701120740.0 010 $a9783319995281 010 $a3319995286 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-319-99528-1 035 $a(CKB)4100000007110709 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5607433 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-319-99528-1 035 $a(PPN)231464797 035 $a(Perlego)3483403 035 $a(EXLCZ)994100000007110709 100 $a20181030d2019 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aEthical and Legal Issues in Human Resource Development $eEvolving Roles and Emerging Trends /$fby Claretha Hughes 205 $a1st ed. 2019. 210 1$aCham :$cSpringer International Publishing :$cImprint: Palgrave Macmillan,$d2019. 215 $a1 online resource (163 pages) 311 08$a9783319995274 311 08$a3319995278 327 $a1. Research Ethics, Governance, and the Future. 330 $aThis book explores the role of HRD professionals in making ethical and legal decisions in the workplace. While previous books have described the need for ethics in HRD, this book presents ethical and legal frameworks for effective implementation in the workplace. The ethical standards of an organization provide a key insight into its values, and this book shows the relationship between those values and HRD practices, such as hiring, training, and promotion. Exploring such topics as protected classes, employee rights, and employee privacy, this book will inform HRD scholars and practitioners on enhancing ethical and legal decision making in the workplace. 606 $aPersonnel management 606 $aBusiness ethics 606 $aHuman Resource Development 606 $aBusiness Ethics 615 0$aPersonnel management. 615 0$aBusiness ethics. 615 14$aHuman Resource Development. 615 24$aBusiness Ethics. 676 $a344.01 700 $aHughes$b Claretha$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0948365 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910337808203321 996 $aEthical and Legal Issues in Human Resource Development$92186335 997 $aUNINA
