The 2005 edition had the important and ambitious goal of bringing together the different communities working in Web services and service-oriented computing. By attracting excellent contributions from different scientific communities, ICSOC aims at creating a scientific venue where participants can share ideas and compare their approaches to tackling the many still-open common research challenges. The commitment to cross-area fertilization was put into practice by having a very diversified Program Committee and by the presence of several area coordinators, leaders in the respective communities who encouraged and supervised submissions in each area. This is also the first edition to feature a successful workshop and demo program, with selected demos also presented in a paper-like fashion so that they get the attention they deserve. In addition, ICSOC 2005 inherited from previous editions a strong industrial presence, both in the conference organization and in the program. This is very important due to the industrial relevance and the many challenges of service oriented technologies. 410 0$aProgramming and Software Engineering,$x2945-9168 ;$v3826 606 $aComputer networks 606 $aApplication software 606 $aInformation storage and retrieval systems 606 $aSoftware engineering 606 $aComputers and civilization 606 $aBusiness information services 606 $aComputer Communication Networks 606 $aComputer and Information Systems Applications 606 $aInformation Storage and Retrieval 606 $aSoftware Engineering 606 $aComputers and Society 606 $aIT in Business 615 0$aComputer networks. 615 0$aApplication software. 615 0$aInformation storage and retrieval systems. 615 0$aSoftware engineering. 615 0$aComputers and civilization. 615 0$aBusiness information services. 615 14$aComputer Communication Networks. 615 24$aComputer and Information Systems Applications. 615 24$aInformation Storage and Retrieval. 615 24$aSoftware Engineering. 615 24$aComputers and Society. 615 24$aIT in Business. 676 $a004.6 701 $aBenatallah$b Boualem$01751840 701 $aCasati$b Fabio$f1971-$01751841 701 $aTraverso$b Paolo$01626991 712 02$aSpringerLink (Online service) 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910484436203321 996 $aService-Oriented Computing--ICSOC 2005$94186963 997 $aUNINA
