Das Augenmerk gilt unterschiedlichen Medien und intermedialen Konstellationen sowie Fragen der Wertung und der Emotionalisierung. Einen Schwerpunkt bildet die Literaturkritik von Goethe bis zur Gegenwart. Gefragt wird zudem nach der Korrelation von literarischer Kommunikation und Ökonomie, nach kulturpoetischen Kontextualisierungsmodellen, dem Verhältnis von Literatur und Film sowie nach Lern- und Bildungsprozessen.
