For several decades, saints' lives, other spiritual biographies, miracle narratives, canonisation processes, iconography, and dramas, have been widely utilised in studies on medieval religious practices and social history. This fruitful material has however been overlooked in studies of the early modern period, despite the fact that it witnessed an unprecedented growth in the volume of hagiographic material. The contributors to this volume address this, and illuminate how early modern hagiographic material can be used for the study of topics such as religious life, the social history of medicine, survival strategies, domestic violence, and the religious experience of slaves. 410 0$aPalgrave Studies in the History of Experience,$x2524-8979 606 $aEurope$xHistory$x1492- 606 $aReligion$xHistory 606 $aSocial history 606 $aCivilization$xHistory 606 $aHistory of Early Modern Europe 606 $aHistory of Religion 606 $aSocial History 606 $aCultural History 615 0$aEurope$xHistory$x1492-. 615 0$aReligion$xHistory. 615 0$aSocial history. 615 0$aCivilization$xHistory. 615 14$aHistory of Early Modern Europe. 615 24$aHistory of Religion. 615 24$aSocial History. 615 24$aCultural History. 676 $a233 676 $a270.1 702 $aKuuliala$b Jenni$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aPeake$b Rose-Marie$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aRäisänen-Schröder$b Päivi$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910484243103321 996 $aLived Religion and Everyday Life in Early Modern Hagiographic Material$92844311 997 $aUNINA
