The classical Riemann?Roch theorem and its generalizations to elliptic equations on bounded domains and compact manifolds, due to Maz?ya, Plameneskii, Nadirashvilli, Gromov and Shubin, account for the contribution to the index due to a divisor of zeros and singularities. On the other hand, the Liouville theorems of Avellaneda, Lin, Li, Moser, Struwe, Kuchment and Pinchover provide the index of periodic elliptic equations on abelian coverings of compact manifolds with polynomial growth at infinity, i.e. in the presence of a "divisor" at infinity. A natural question is whether one can combine the Riemann?Roch and Liouville type results. This monograph shows that this can indeed be done, however the answers are more intricate than one might initially expect. Namely, the interaction between the finite divisor and the point at infinity is non-trivial. The text is targeted towards researchers in PDEs, geometric analysis, and mathematical physics. 410 0$aLecture notes in mathematics (Springer-Verlag) ;$vVolume 2245. 606 $aDifferential equations, Elliptic 606 $aRiemann-Roch theorems 615 0$aDifferential equations, Elliptic. 615 0$aRiemann-Roch theorems. 676 $a515.353 700 $aKha$b Minh$0791289 702 $aKuchment$b Peter$f1949- 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bUtOrBLW 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910483825303321 996 $aLiouville-Riemann-Roch theorems on Abelian coverings$92831540 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03704nam 2200805 a 450 001 9910791915903321 005 20230725021505.0 010 $a1-78170-303-5 010 $a1-84779-343-6 024 7 $a10.7765/9781847793430 035 $a(CKB)2560000000085842 035 $a(EBL)1069649 035 $a(OCoLC)818847415 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000712714 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)12259060 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000712714 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10645432 035 $a(PQKB)10327102 035 $a(StDuBDS)EDZ0000086923 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL1069649 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10623395 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL843720 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC1069649 035 $a(DE-B1597)659531 035 $a(DE-B1597)9781847793430 035 $a(EXLCZ)992560000000085842 100 $a20100907d2010 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 00$aAbandoning historical conflict?$b[electronic resource] $eformer political prisoners and reconciliation in Northern Ireland /$fPeter Shirlow ... Most accounts of the peace process are 'top-down', relying upon the views of political elites. This book is 'bottom-up', analysing the voices of those who actually 'fought the war'. What made them fight, why did they stop and what are the lessons for other conflict zones?Based on a Leverhulme Trust project and written by an expert team, the book offers a new analysis, based on subtle interplays of military, political, economic an 606 $aPeace-building$zNorthern Ireland 606 $aEx-convicts$xPolitical activity$zNorthern Ireland 606 $aEx-convicts$zNorthern Ireland$xAttitudes 606 $aPolitical prisoners$zNorthern Ireland$xAttitudes 607 $aNorthern Ireland$xPolitics and government$y1994- 610 $aNorthern Ireland. 610 $aarmed groups. 610 $aceasefires. 610 $aconflict. 610 $aformer prisoners. 610 $aloyalists. 610 $apeace process. 610 $apeace. 610 $arepublicans. 610 $aviolence. 615 0$aPeace-building 615 0$aEx-convicts$xPolitical activity 615 0$aEx-convicts$xAttitudes. 615 0$aPolitical prisoners$xAttitudes. 676 $a327.1/7209416 700 $aShirlow$b Peter, $4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$01544344 701 $aShirlow$b Peter$01544344 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910791915903321 996 $aAbandoning historical conflict$93798668 997 $aUNINA
