This was the ?rst ACCV conference to take place in mainland China. We received a total of 670 full submissions, which is a new record in the ACCV series. Overall, 35 papers were selected for oral presentation and 131 as posters, yielding acceptance rates of 5.2% for oral, 19.6% for poster, and 24.8% in total. In the paper reviewing, we continued the tradition of previous ACCVsbyconductingthe processinadouble-blindmanner.Eachofthe33Area Chairs received a pool of about 20 papers and nominated a number of potential reviewers for each paper. Then, Program Committee Chairs allocated at least three reviewers to each paper, taking into consideration any con?icts of interest and the balance of loads. Once the reviews were ?nished, the Area Chairs made summaryreportsforthepapersintheirpools, basedonthereviewers?comments and on their own assessments of the papers. 410 0$aImage Processing, Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, and Graphics,$x3004-9954 ;$v5994 606 $aComputer graphics 606 $aComputer programming 606 $aPattern recognition systems 606 $aImage processing$xDigital techniques 606 $aComputer vision 606 $aArtificial intelligence 606 $aComputer Graphics 606 $aProgramming Techniques 606 $aAutomated Pattern Recognition 606 $aComputer Imaging, Vision, Pattern Recognition and Graphics 606 $aComputer Vision 606 $aArtificial Intelligence 615 0$aComputer graphics. 615 0$aComputer programming. 615 0$aPattern recognition systems. 615 0$aImage processing$xDigital techniques. 615 0$aComputer vision. 615 0$aArtificial intelligence. 615 14$aComputer Graphics. 615 24$aProgramming Techniques. 615 24$aAutomated Pattern Recognition. 615 24$aComputer Imaging, Vision, Pattern Recognition and Graphics. 615 24$aComputer Vision. 615 24$aArtificial Intelligence. 676 $a006.6 701 $aZha$b Hongbin$01586081 701 $aTaniguchi$b Rin-ichiro$01752876 701 $aMaybank$b Stephen$01752877 712 12$aAsian Conference on Computer Vision 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910483601103321 996 $aComputer Vision-- ACCV 2009$94188365 997 $aUNINA
