The physic nut has the potential to be highly productive and is amenable to subculture in vitro and to genetic modification. It also displays remarkable diversity and is relatively easy to cross hybridize within the genus. Thanks to these promising features, J. curcas is emerging as a promising oil crop and is gaining commercial interest among the biofuel research communities. However, as a crop, physic nut has been an economic flop since 2012, because the species was not fully domesticated and the average productivity was less than 2 t/ha, which is below the threshold of profitability. Nevertheless, hybrids with a productivity of >7 t/ha could be reached and it is contributing to new markets in some countries. As such, it is important fro research to focus on the physiology and selective breeding of Jatropha . This book provides a positive global update on Jatropha, a crop that has suffered despite its promising agronomic and economic potential. The editors have used their collective expertise in agronomy, botany, selective breeding, biotechnology, genomics and bioinformatics to seek out high-quality contributions that address the bottleneck features in order to improve the economic trajectory of physic nut breeding. 606 $aPlant breeding 606 $aPlant genetics 606 $aPlant physiology 606 $aPlant ecology 606 $aPlant pathology 606 $aPlant Breeding/Biotechnology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/L24060 606 $aPlant Genetics and Genomics$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/L32020 606 $aPlant Physiology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/L33020 606 $aPlant Ecology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/L19112 606 $aPlant Pathology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/L24035 615 0$aPlant breeding. 615 0$aPlant genetics. 615 0$aPlant physiology. 615 0$aPlant ecology. 615 0$aPlant pathology. 615 14$aPlant Breeding/Biotechnology. 615 24$aPlant Genetics and Genomics. 615 24$aPlant Physiology. 615 24$aPlant Ecology. 615 24$aPlant Pathology. 676 $a631.52 676 $a660.6 702 $aMulpuri$b Sujatha$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aCarels$b Nicolas$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aBahadur$b Bir$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910350353703321 996 $aJatropha, Challenges for a New Energy Crop$92184160 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03386nam 22006613u 450 001 9910480973803321 005 20210108073239.0 010 $a91-87675-29-3 035 $a(CKB)3710000000323515 035 $a(EBL)1903576 035 $a(SSID)ssj0001420976 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)12531554 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001420976 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)11425600 035 $a(PQKB)10356134 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC1903576 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000323515 100 $a20141229d2014|||| u|| | 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aCrisis and Migration$b[electronic resource] $eImplications of the Eurozone Crisis for Perceptions, Politics, and Policies of Migration 210 $aChicago $cNordic Academic Press$d2014 215 $a1 online resource (295 p.) 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 $a91-87351-30-7 327 $aCover; Title; Copyright; Contents; Preface; 1. In Crisis and Migration attention is geared away from the crisis as a protracted but acute phenomenon that will eventually come to pass. Instead, the contributors pose the possibility that the crisis may be a symptom of a long-term, chronic decline of the European Union in relation to other parts of the world. The authors analyze the current economic situation and its effects and implications on migration and migration policy. Bastian Matteo Scianna offers a wide-ranging, in-depth corrective. Mining Italian, German and Russian sources, he examines the history of the Italian campaign in the East between 1941 and 1943, as well as how the campaign was remembered and memorialized in the domestic and international arena during the Cold War. Linking operational military history with memory studies, this book revises our understanding of the Italian Army in the Second World War. 410 0$aItalian and Italian American Studies,$x2635-2931 606 $aWorld War, 1939-1945 606 $aMilitary history 606 $aHistoriography 606 $aHistory of Italy$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/717050 606 $aRussian, Soviet, and East European History$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/717090 606 $aHistory of World War II and the Holocaust$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/717110 606 $aHistory of Military$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/721000 606 $aMemory Studies$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/711010 607 $aItaly$xHistory 607 $aRussia$xHistory 607 $aEurope, Eastern$xHistory 615 0$aWorld War, 1939-1945. 615 0$aMilitary history. 615 0$aHistoriography. 615 14$aHistory of Italy. 615 24$aRussian, Soviet, and East European History. 615 24$aHistory of World War II and the Holocaust. 615 24$aHistory of Military. 615 24$aMemory Studies. 676 $a940.5345 676 $a940.54215 700 $aScianna$b Bastian Matteo$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$01077768 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910483400703321 996 $aThe Italian War on the Eastern Front, 1941?1943$92589226 997 $aUNINA
