Although the first part of this volume still consists of chapters about product preparations in alphabetical order, each product category has been revised and updated by a specialist. An outline of the biology, structure and function of skin, hair, teeth and nails and the reasons for the need for cosmetics are given in those dealing with the relevant preparations. Throughout, the word Cosmetics includes toiletries and thus all products which protect, cleanse, adorn, and perfume the human body, and combat body odour and perspiration. The 'f' spelling for the element 'sulfur' and its derivatives has been used following the recommendations of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUP AC) and the decision taken by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and the British Standards Institute (BSI) to use 'f' instead of 'ph' in all their publications. This stems from the derivation of the use of the 'f' from Latin and its use in England until the 15th century. 606 $aMedicinal chemistry 606 $aPharmacy 606 $aMedicinal Chemistry$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/C28000 606 $aPharmacy$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/F00008 615 0$aMedicinal chemistry. 615 0$aPharmacy. 615 14$aMedicinal Chemistry. 615 24$aPharmacy. 676 $a615.19 700 $aPoucher$b W.A$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0902771 702 $aButler$b H$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910480666203321 996 $aPoucher?s Perfumes, Cosmetics and Soaps$92018102 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01435nam 2200433Ka 450 001 9910690220203321 005 20050902102329.0 035 $a(CKB)5470000002337084 035 $a(OCoLC)61406253 035 $a(OCoLC)456101239 035 $a(EXLCZ)995470000002337084 100 $a20050902d2004 ua 0 101 0 $aeng 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aClausewitzian friction and future war$b[electronic resource] /$fBarry D.
