Their role as standard fare in UK undergraduate mathematics courses is not wholly secure; yet they provide the principal model for the development of the abstract measure spaces which underpin modern probability theory, while the Lebesgue function spaces remain the main sour ce of examples on which to test the methods of functional analysis and its many applications, such as Fourier analysis and the theory of partial differential equations. It follows that not only budding analysts have need of a clear understanding of the construction and properties of measures and integrals, but also that those who wish to contribute seriously to the applications of analytical methods in a wide variety of areas of mathematics, physics, electronics, engineering and, most recently, finance, need to study the underlying theory with some care. We have found remarkably few texts in the current literature which aim explicitly to provide for these needs, at a level accessible to current under graduates. There are many good books on modern prob ability theory, and increasingly they recognize the need for a strong grounding in the tools we develop in this book, but all too often the treatment is either too advanced for an undergraduate audience or else somewhat perfunctory. 410 0$aSpringer Undergraduate Mathematics Series,$x1615-2085 606 $aProbabilities 606 $aMathematics 606 $aProbability Theory and Stochastic Processes$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M27004 606 $aMathematics, general$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M00009 615 0$aProbabilities. 615 0$aMathematics. 615 14$aProbability Theory and Stochastic Processes. 615 24$aMathematics, general. 676 $a515/.42 700 $aCapinski$b Marek$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0536472 702 $aKopp$b (Peter) Ekkehard$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910480323703321 996 $aMeasure, integral and probability$91502462 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02406nam 2200673 a 450 001 9910457479403321 005 20200520144314.0 010 $a1-283-63545-3 010 $a0-8263-3848-8 035 $a(CKB)2550000000050900 035 $a(EBL)1118962 035 $a(OCoLC)817818806 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000541144 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11391004 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000541144 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10498409 035 $a(PQKB)11131123 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC1118962 035 $a(OCoLC)319077515 035 $a(MdBmJHUP)muse7471 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL1118962 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10492274 035 $a(EXLCZ)992550000000050900 100 $a20050309d2005 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aSeema's show$b[electronic resource] $ea life on the left /$fSara Halprin ; foreword by Marge Frantz 210 $aAlbuquerque $cUniversity of New Mexico Press$d2005 215 $a1 online resource (262 p.) 225 1 $aCounterCulture series 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 $a0-8263-3847-X 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references (p. 234-241) and index. 327 $aFront Cover; Title Page; Copyright; Contents; List of Photographs; Foreword; Introduction; 1: 1905-29: From Chernigov to California; 2: 1929-38: Los Angeles, Tahiti, Los Angeles; 3: 1938-41: Yosemite; 4: 1940-84: Jack; 5: 1985-2000: A New Life; Epilogue; Sources and Acknowledgments; Bibliography; Index; Back Cover 330 $aThe fascinating life of a cultural and political icon. 410 0$aCounterCulture series. 606 $aWomen political activists$zUnited States$vBiography 606 $aWomen photographers$zUnited States$vBiography 606 $aRussian Americans$vBiography 606 $aCounterculture$zUnited States 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aWomen political activists 615 0$aWomen photographers 615 0$aRussian Americans 615 0$aCounterculture 676 $a979.4/0049171/0092 676 $aB 700 $aHalprin$b Sara$01000578 701 $aFrantz$b Marge$01000579 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910457479403321 996 $aSeema's show$92296596 997 $aUNINA
