In her English-language dissertation, Elisa Bruhn examines how this technological potential can be used strategically to expand internationalization. The data basis of the thesis is a content analysis of contributions to international conferences on university internationalization, online and distance learning, university management and research, and ICT and internationalization. The selected abstracts were analyzed based on the model of "Comprehensive Internationalization" (CI). From the results, Bruhn outlines a model for Virtual Internationalization (VI) that considers curricula, international cooperation, and distance learning as well as the roles of university strategy, administration, management, and teaching staff. The highly topical dissertation closes a gap in university research and offers universities valuable starting points in research and practice of internationalization. 410 $aInnovative Hochschule: digital - international - transformativ 606 $aDigitalisierung 606 $aHochschulentwicklung 606 $avirtuelles Lernen 606 $aCurriculum 606 $aDissertation 606 $ahigher education 606 $aInformations- und Kommunikationstechniken 606 $avirtuelle Mobilität 606 $avirtuelle Internationalisierung 606 $aComprehensive Internationalisation 606 $adistance education 606 $adigitalization 606 $avirtual space 606 $ainternationalisation strategies 606 $alearning outcomes 606 $aOnline and Distance Education (ODE) 606 $aCATA 615 4$aDigitalisierung 615 4$aHochschulentwicklung 615 4$avirtuelles Lernen 615 4$aCurriculum 615 4$aDissertation 615 4$ahigher education 615 4$aInformations- und Kommunikationstechniken 615 4$avirtuelle Mobilität 615 4$avirtuelle Internationalisierung 615 4$aComprehensive Internationalisation 615 4$adistance education 615 4$adigitalization 615 4$avirtual space 615 4$ainternationalisation strategies 615 4$alearning outcomes 615 4$aOnline and Distance Education (ODE) 615 4$aCATA 700 $aBruhn$b Elisa$4aut$01071160 801 0$bScCtBLL 801 1$bScCtBLL 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910477306403321 996 $aVirtual Internationalization in Higher Education$92566009 997 $aUNINA
