The book broadens the debate by comparing texts written in 'learned' and 'vulgar' Latin, Church Slavonic, Anglo-Norman, and East Slavonic. From this comparison, the Kingdom of the Rus appears as a regional variation of European society. This suggests current interpretations overemphasize factors unique to the medieval West and overlook deeper pan-European processes. 410 0$aBeyond Medieval Europe. 606 $aFeudalism$zKievan Rus$xHistory 606 $aFeudalism$zEurope$xHistory 606 $aProperty$zKievan Rus$xHistory 606 $aProperty$zEurope$xHistory 606 $aPower (Social sciences)$zKievan Rus$xHistory 606 $aPower (Social sciences)$zEurope$xHistory 607 $aKievan Rus$xHistory$y862-1237 607 $aEurope$xHistory$y476-1492 615 0$aFeudalism$xHistory. 615 0$aFeudalism$xHistory. 615 0$aProperty$xHistory. 615 0$aProperty$xHistory. 615 0$aPower (Social sciences)$xHistory. 615 0$aPower (Social sciences)$xHistory. 676 $a947 700 $aMikhailova$b Yulia$c(Assistant professor of history),$0951554 801 0$bUkCbUP 801 1$bUkCbUP 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910467361503321 996 $aProperty, power, and authority in Rus and Latin Europe, ca. 1000-1236$92481548 997 $aUNINA
