The model, set on both legal and political science theories, departs from civic nationalism but calls to strengthen it with more immediate and emotional means, such as shared national symbols and multicultural education. Moodrick-Even Khen explores the political history of Canada, Belgium, and Spain and touches upon other divided societies such as South Africa, Northern Ireland and Cyprus. Drawing upon these cases, she suggests a future model for a cohesive society in Israel, which is currently nationally divided between Arabs and Jews. 410 0$aStudies in international minority and group rights ;$vVolume 12. 606 $aSelf-determination, National 606 $aNationalities, Principle of 606 $aNational characteristics, Israeli 606 $aNational characteristics, Palestinian 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aSelf-determination, National. 615 0$aNationalities, Principle of. 615 0$aNational characteristics, Israeli. 615 0$aNational characteristics, Palestinian. 676 $a341.26 700 $aMoodrick?-Even Khen$b Hilly$0999452 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910465541603321 996 $aNational identities and the right to self-determination of peoples$92293758 997 $aUNINA
