Both proofs involve long and complicated applications of algebraic geometry over free groups as well as an extension of methods to solve equations in free groups originally developed by Razborov. This book is an examination of the material on the general elementary theory of groups that is necessary to begin to understand the proofs. This material includes a complete exposition of the theory of fully residually free groups or limit groups as well a complete description of the algebraic geometry of free groups. Also included are introductory material on combinatorial and geometric group theory and first-order logic. There is then a short outline of the proof of the Tarski conjectures in the manner of Kharlampovich and Myasnikov. 410 0$aDe Gruyter expositions in mathematics ;$vVolume 60. 606 $aGeometry, Algebraic 606 $aCombinatorial analysis 606 $aProof theory 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aGeometry, Algebraic. 615 0$aCombinatorial analysis. 615 0$aProof theory. 676 $a512/.2 700 $aFine$b Benjamin, $056763 702 $aFine$b Benjamin$f1948- 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910464790703321 996 $aThe elementary theory of groups$92461128 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03069nam 2200601 450 001 9910453168903321 005 20200520144314.0 010 $a0-7425-7996-4 010 $a1-299-85033-2 035 $a(CKB)2550000001192379 035 $a(EBL)1380551 035 $a(OCoLC)858230668 035 $a(SSID)ssj0001173985 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11778231 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001173985 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)11107468 035 $a(PQKB)10984344 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC1380551 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL1380551 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10915985 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL516284 035 $a(EXLCZ)992550000001192379 100 $a20140908h20012001 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aFeminists doing ethics /$fPeggy DesAutels and Joanne Waugh 210 1$aLanham, Maryland ;$aOxford, England :$cRowman & Littlefield Publishers, Inc.,$d2001. 210 4$dİ2001 215 $a1 online resource (280 p.) 225 1 $aFeminist Constructions 300 $aIncludes index. 311 $a0-7425-1211-8 311 $a0-7425-1210-X 327 $a6 Critical Virtue Ethics: Understanding Oppression as Morally Damaging Lisa Tessman7 Feminist Ethics: Care as a Virtue Margaret A. The essays collected within explore the intricacies and impact of reasoned moral action, the virtues of character, and the empowering responsibility that comes with morality. These and other essays were taken from Feminist Ethics Revisited: An International Conference on Feminist Ethics held in October of 1999. Rufus, the white son of a plantation owner, is drowning, and Dana has been summoned across the years to save him. After this first summons, Dana is drawn back, again and again, to the plantation to protect Rufus and ensure that he will grow to manhood and father the daughter who will become Dana's ancestor. Yet each time Dana's sojourns become longer and more dangerous, until it is uncertain whether or not her life will end, long before it has even begun. 410 0$aBlack women writers series. 606 $aAfrican American women$vFiction 606 $aSlaveholders$vFiction 606 $aTime travel$vFiction 606 $aSlavery$vFiction 606 $aEnslaved persons$vFiction 607 $aLos Angeles (Calif.)$vFiction 607 $aSouthern States$vFiction 608 $aPsychological fiction.$2lcsh 608 $aScience fiction.$2gsafd 615 0$aAfrican American women 615 0$aSlaveholders 615 0$aTime travel 615 0$aSlavery 615 0$aEnslaved persons 676 $a813/.54 700 $aButler$b Octavia E$01032938 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910782747703321 996 $aKindred$93723813 997 $aUNINA
