Panel (System GMM) regressions: The effect of developmental aid on growth 330 $aWe analyze the growth impact of official development assistance to developing countries. Our approach is different from that of previous studies in two major ways. First, we disentangle the effects of two kinds of aid: developmental and non-developmental. Second, our specifications allow for the effect of aid on economic growth to occur over long periods. Our results indicate that developmental aid promotes long-run growth. The effect is significant, large and robust to different specifications and estimation techniques. 410 0$aIMF working paper ;$vWP/09/118. 606 $aEconomic assistance$zDeveloping countries 606 $aEconomic development$zDeveloping countries 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aEconomic assistance 615 0$aEconomic development 700 $aMinoiu$b Camelia$f1977-$0999087 701 $aReddy$b Sanjay$0999088 712 02$aInternational Monetary Fund. 712 02$aIMF Institute. 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910464000403321 996 $aDevelopment aid and economic growth$92292176 997 $aUNINA
