The aim of this book is to help budding scientists broaden their capacities to access and use information from diverse sources to the benefit of their research careers. The book describes why the capacity to access and integrate both linear and nonlinear information has been an important historic feature of pivotal scientific breakthroughs. Yet, it is a process that our students are rarely, if ever, taught in universities. Central issues are the presentation of major corpus resources (both corpora and software tools), the findings (especially about frequency) which are simply not accessible without such resources, their theoretical implications relating to both lexical units and word meanings, and the practical ? especially pedagogical ? applications of corpus findings. This is complemented by a lexicographer?s view on the data structures implicit in the Oxford English Dictionary (OED). The volume, which has sprung from the 36th ICAME conference, held in at Trier University in May 2015, will be of relevance for theoretical and applied linguists interested in corpora, word usage, and the mental lexicon. 410 0$aLanguage and Computers$v81. 606 $aEnglish language$xGrammar$xData processing$vCongresses 606 $aEnglish language$xDiscourse analysis$xData processing$xCongresses 606 $aComputational linguistics$vCongresses 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aEnglish language$xGrammar$xData processing 615 0$aEnglish language$xDiscourse analysis$xData processing$xCongresses. The publication of excavations at Castellu throws an entirely new light upon late-Roman and early-medieval Corsica. The study includes an examination of the finds, most of which are of 6th century date, and an analysis of the faunal remains. The latter shows not only that domesticated species differed from those of the Iron-Age but also that eating habits had changed. The resulting picture is one of significant and long-lasting Romanisation of innerCorsica, and of ongoing trade relations with the rest of the Mediterranean region, even after the Vandal invasion. The publication marks a major step towards a new understanding of this period of Corsican history. 517 $aCastellu 606 $aExcavations (Archaeology)$zFrance$zCorte Region 606 $aRomans$zFrance$zCorte Region 607 $aCastellu Site (France) 607 $aCorte Region (France)$xAntiquities, Roman 610 $amonnaie 610 $acéramique 610 $aAntiquité 610 $amétal 610 $amobilier 610 $arestauration 610 $aconservation 610 $aargile 610 $aCastellu 610 $aTavignano 610 $aHaute-Corse 615 0$aExcavations (Archaeology) 615 0$aRomans 700 $aAntomarchi$b Catherine$01283025 701 $aBrenot$b Claude$0734355 701 $aCarignani$b Andrea$0474941 701 $aCocchini$b Fabrizia$01283026 701 $aFévrier$b Paul?Albert$01283027 701 $aLevy$b J$0778949 701 $aMaria Loreti$b Ersilia$01283028 701 $aMarlnval?Vigne$b Marie?Christine$01283029 701 $aMartorelli$b Rosana$01283030 701 $aMartorelli$b Rossana$0776748 701 $aPacetti$b F$01283031 701 $aPentiricci$b M$01283032 701 $aPergola$b Philippe$0170760 701 $aRuas$b Marie?Pierre$01283033 701 $aVigne$b Jean?Denis$01283034 701 $aVismara$b Cinzia$0168277 701 $aPergola$b Philippe$0170760 701 $aVismara$b Cinzia$0168277 801 0$bFR-FrMaCLE 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910571797303321 996 $aCastellu (Haute-Corse)$93018912 997 $aUNINA
