Chapter Two discusses the problems caused by the lack of any generally-accepted guidelines for NGO fact-finding, in contrast with contexts where NGOs have achieved consensus. Chapter Three surveys proposed guidelines for human rights and humanitarian NGOs. In addition, this section examines United Nations fact-finding standards, as well as examples of internal fact-finding standards for major NGOs. Chapter Four analyzes the fact-finding standards used in five specific cases: the International Crisis Group (Kosovo, 1999), the Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on the Conflict in Georgia (Georgia, 2008), United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights Mapping Exercise on the Democratic Republic of Congo (1993-2003), Conflict Analysis Resource Center/University London study on Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch (Colombia, 1988-2004), and Human Rights Watch (Lebanon, 2006). The final chapter offers conclusions and recommendations. 410 0$aNijhoff law specials ;$v78. 606 $aHuman rights$xEvaluation 606 $aCivil rights$xEvaluation 606 $aNon-governmental organizations 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aHuman rights$xEvaluation. 615 0$aCivil rights$xEvaluation. 615 0$aNon-governmental organizations. 676 $a341.4/8 700 $aSteinberg$b Gerald$g(Gerald M.)$0248630 701 $aBerman$b Jordan$0894978 701 $aHerzberg$b Anne$0894979 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910462086503321 996 $aBest practices for human rights and humanitarian NGO fact-finding$91999670 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04143nam 2200697 a 450 001 9910455710703321 005 20200520144314.0 010 $a1-4552-4079-6 035 $a(CKB)2470000000001370 035 $a(EBL)1642547 035 $a(SSID)ssj0001220186 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11689863 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001220186 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)11221231 035 $a(PQKB)10859939 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC1642547 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL1642547 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10300202 035 $a(OCoLC)871860118 035 $a(EXLCZ)992470000000001370 100 $a20091205d2007 uy 0 101 0 $aspa 135 $aurcn||||||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 00$aPerspectivas econo?micas$iLas Ame?ricas : Abr. 07$b[electronic resource] 210 $aWashington, D.C. $cInternational Monetary Fund$dc2007 215 $a1 online resource (50 p.) 225 1 $aWorld economic and financial surveys 225 1 $aEstudios econo?micos y financieros 300 $aTranslation of: Regional economic outlook : Western Hemisphere. 311 $a1-4519-2059-8 311 $a1-58906-643-X 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references (p. 42-43). 327 $aCover; I?ndice; Resumen ejecutivo; I. Can this performance be sustained, and what challenges does the region face? Reviewing macroeconomic prospects and risks, this report pays particular attention to the influence of the external environment on Latin America, and addresses the question of whether Latin America has now succeeded in breaking with its history of periodic growth reversals. 410 0$aWorld economic and financial surveys. 410 0$aEstudios econo?micos y financieros. 606 $aEconomic forecasting$zNorth America 606 $aEconomic forecasting$zLatin America 606 $aEconomic forecasting$zCaribbean Area 607 $aNorth America$xEconomic conditions 607 $aLatin America$xEconomic conditions 607 $aCaribbean Area$xEconomic conditions 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aEconomic forecasting 615 0$aEconomic forecasting 615 0$aEconomic forecasting 676 $a337.1 676 $a337.17 712 02$aInternational Monetary Fund. 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910455710703321 996 $aPerspectivas econo?micas$92441104 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01005nam a2200241 a 4500 001 991001708599707536 008 020 $a8884501504 035 $ab13414756-39ule_inst 040 $aDip.to di Studi Storici$bita 082 0 $a940.1 245 13$aLa memoire du temps au Moyen age /$cetudes reunies par Agostino Paravicini Bagliani 260 $aFirenze :$bSISMEL, edizioni del Galluzzo,$c2005 300 $aXIII, 447 p. ;$c21 cm 440 0$aMicrologus' library ;$v12 650 4$aEuropa$xStoria$ySec.9.-16. 907 $a.b13414756$b02-09-09$c21-06-06 912 $a991001708599707536 945 $aLE016 940.1 PAR 01.01$g1$i2016000118285$lle016$on$pE64.00$q-$rn$so $t0$u0$v0$w0$x0$y.i1481948x$z02-09-08 945 $aLE023 940.1 PAR 1 1$g1$i2023000087046$lle023$o-$pE64.00$q-$rl$s- $t0$u1$v0$w1$x0$y.i14266404$z12-07-06 996 $aMémoire du temps au Moyen Age$988348 997 $aUNISALENTO 998 $a(2)le016$a(2)le023$b - - $cm$da $e-$ffre$git $h3$i4
