In challenging these assumptions, this book examines Dong? career and reputation, and his supposed authorship of the Chunqiu fanlu , for long subject to question. It is concluded that while some parts of that text may well represent the teachings that Dong Zhongshu promoted, some may perhaps date from as late as 79 CE; still others bear an affinity to writings which, banned as being suspect or potentially subversive, survive in no more than fragmentary form. 410 0$aChina studies (Leiden, Netherlands) ;$vv. 20. 606 $aConfucianism$zChina$xHistory 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aConfucianism$xHistory. 676 $a181/.112 700 $aLoewe$b Michael$0635017 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910461627403321 996 $aDong Zhongshu, a "Confucian" heritage and the Chunqiu fanlu$92218634 997 $aUNINA
