The wide range of authors and works included in these book collections proves that the Norwegian clergy partook in the European flow of information across borders, a flow that was marked by expansion and exchange rather than narrowness and rigidity. Three core source areas stand out in terms of book acquisition, namely Germany, the Netherlands and England. This wide range of book distribution is indicative of the early modern transmission of knowledge across borders which took place in all areas of academic debate in the wake of Gutenberg. 410 0$aStudies in the history of Christian traditions ;$vv. 148. 606 $aPrivate libraries$zNorway$xHistory$y17th century 606 $aPrivate libraries$zNorway$xHistory$y18th century 606 $aClergy$xBooks and reading$zNorway$xHistory$y17th century 606 $aClergy$xBooks and reading$zNorway$xHistory$y18th century 606 $aBooks and reading$zNorway$xHistory$y17th century 606 $aBooks and reading$zNorway$xHistory$y18th century 606 $aBooks and reading$xReligious aspects$xChristianity 607 $aNorway$xIntellectual life$y17th century 607 $aNorway$xIntellectual life$y18th century 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aPrivate libraries$xHistory 615 0$aPrivate libraries$xHistory 615 0$aClergy$xBooks and reading$xHistory 615 0$aClergy$xBooks and reading$xHistory 615 0$aBooks and reading$xHistory 615 0$aBooks and reading$xHistory 615 0$aBooks and reading$xReligious aspects$xChristianity. 676 $a027.6/70948109032 700 $aDahl$b Gina$0992445 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910460138103321 996 $aBook collections of clerics in Norway, 1650-1750$92272473 997 $aUNINA
