Although this fact was acknowledged by previous generations of scholars, it was during the twentieth century that the study of ancient letter-writing practices came to the fore and began to be applied to the study of the letters of the New Testament. This volume seeks to advance the discussion of Paul's relationship to Greek epistolary traditions by evaluating the nature of ancient letters as well as the individual letter components. These features are evaluated alongside Paul's letters to better understand Paul's use and adaptations of these traditions in order to meet his communicative needs. 410 0$aPauline studies ;$vv. 6. 606 $aGreek letters$xHistory and criticism 606 $aLetter writing, Greek 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aGreek letters$xHistory and criticism. 615 0$aLetter writing, Greek. 676 $a227/.066 701 $aPorter$b Stanley E.$f1956-$0176503 701 $aAdams$b Sean A$0928485 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910459454603321 996 $aPaul and the ancient letter form$92225806 997 $aUNINA
