Wideband CDMA and CDMA2000 will be used for 3G. OFDM+CDMA might be a good choice for 4G, CDMA overlay will possibly be used for new-generation broadband wireless LAN. For system planners and designers, the projections of rapidly escalating demand for such wireless services present major challenges and meeting these challenges will require sustained technical innovation on many fronts. The text of this book has been developed through years of research by the author and his graduate students at the University of Hong Kong. The aim of this book is to provide a R&D perspective on the field of broadband wireless communications by describing the recent research developments in this area and also by identifying key directions in which further research is needed. As a background, I presume that the reader has a thorough understanding of digital communications and spread spectrum/CDMA. The book is arranged into 13 chapters. In chapter 1, some key specifications of 3G WCDMA are described and discussed. These techniques include channel coding, rate matching, modulation and spreading, power control, cell search, transmit diversity, soft-handoff, and so son. In Chapter 2, the coherent RAKE reception of Wideband CDMA signals with complex spreading is considered. A dedicated pilot channel, which is separate from data channels, is used for the purpose of channel estimation. 410 0$aKluwer international series in engineering and computer science ;$vSECS 620. 606 $aBroadband communication systems 606 $aWireless communication systems 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aBroadband communication systems. 615 0$aWireless communication systems. 676 $a384.5/3 700 $aWang$b Jiangzhou$0847044 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910454795203321 996 $aBroadband wireless communications$91892219 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02852nam 2200613 a 450 001 9910458400303321 005 20200520144314.0 010 $a1-283-15623-7 010 $a9786613156235 010 $a0-643-10012-1 035 $a(CKB)2560000000011891 035 $a(EBL)542587 035 $a(OCoLC)645097498 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000419088 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)12110711 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000419088 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10381615 035 $a(PQKB)10620911 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC542587 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL542587 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10620376 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL315623 035 $a(EXLCZ)992560000000011891 100 $a20100623d2010 ua 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 12$aA guide to the beetles of Australia$b[electronic resource] /$fGeorge Hangay and Paul Zborowski 210 $aCollingwood, Vic. $cCSIRO Pub.$dc2010 215 $a1 online resource (249 p.) 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 $a0-643-09487-3 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and indexes. 327 $acOVER; Preface; Contents; Acknowledgements; Introduction; What makes a beetle?; Anatomy; Reproduction and development; Food and survival; Higher taxonomy; Family descriptions; Cupedidae Reticulated beetles; Ommatidae Ommatid beetles; Sphaeriusidae Minute bog beetles; Gyrinidae Whirligig beetles; Haliplidae Crawling water beetles; Noteridae Burrowing water beetles; Hygrobiidae Screech beetles; Dytiscidae Predaceous diving beetles; Rhysodidae Wrinkled bark beetles; Carabidae Ground beetles; Hydrophilidae Water scavenger beetles; Histeridae Hister beetles; Hydraenidae Minute moss beetles 327 $aPtiliidae Feather-winged beetlesLeiodidae Small fungus beetles; Scydmaenidae Minute ant-like beetles; Silphidae Carrion or burial beetles; Staphylinidae Rove beetles; Lucanidae Stag beetles; Passalidae Passalid or bess beetles; Trogidae Hide beetles; Bolboceratidae Bolboceratid beetles; Hybosoridae Scavenger scarab beetles; Scarabaeidae Scarab beetles; Endnotes; Glossary; Index of common names; Index of scientific names 330 $aA well-illustrated guide that provides a fascinating introduction to this huge and diverse group of insects. 606 $aBeetles$zAustralia 606 $aBeetles$zAustralia$vIdentification 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aBeetles 615 0$aBeetles 676 $a595 676 $a595.760994 700 $aHangay$b George$0933487 701 $aZborowski$b Paul$0933488 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910458400303321 996 $aA guide to the beetles of Australia$92101430 997 $aUNINA
