Not only does this approach present an idealised account of China?s intellectual past, but it also imposes artificial boundaries between textual and philosophical traditions. As the first study to treat text as a cultural phenomenon during the Warring States period, this book demonstrates the interplay among the material conditions of text and manuscript culture, writing, and thought. Through close readings of philosophical texts excavated at Gu?diàn, it analyses crucial strategies of meaning construction and casts light on the ways in which different communities used texts to philosophical ends. Meyer thus establishes new understandings of the correlation between ideas, their material carrier, and the production of meaning in early China. 410 0$aStudies in the history of Chinese texts ;$vv. 2. 517 3 $aText and the production of meaning in early China 606 $aChinese classics$xCriticism, Textual 606 $aChinese literature$xCriticism, Textual 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aChinese classics$xCriticism, Textual. 615 0$aChinese literature$xCriticism, Textual. 676 $a181/.11 700 $aMeyer$b Dirk$f1975 Apr. 18-$0913615 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910457712303321 996 $aPhilosophy on bamboo$92046493 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03514nam 22006972 450 001 9910449789703321 005 20160311135412.0 010 $a1-107-14139-7 010 $a0-521-05602-0 010 $a1-139-05396-5 010 $a1-280-43750-2 010 $a0-511-16555-2 010 $a0-511-16501-3 010 $a0-511-16421-1 010 $a0-511-31257-1 010 $a0-511-16588-9 035 $a(CKB)1000000000239371 035 $a(EBL)255149 035 $a(OCoLC)437163498 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000178310 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11169796 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000178310 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10221930 035 $a(PQKB)11343421 035 $a(UkCbUP)CR9781139053969 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC255149 035 $a(PPN)15278876X 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL255149 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10120430 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL43750 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000239371 100 $a20110308d2003|||| uy| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 14$aThe Indian princes and their states /$fBarbara N. On the contrary, many were consummate politicians who exercised considerable degrees of autonomy until the disintegration of the princely states after independence. Ramusack's synthesis has a broad temporal span, tracing the evolution of the Indian kings from their pre-colonial origins to their roles as clients in the British colonial system. The book breaks ground in its integration of political and economic developments in the major princely states with the shifting relationships between the princes and the British. It represents a major contribution, both to British imperial history in its analysis of the theory and practice of indirect rule, and to modern South Asian history, as a portrait of the princes as politicians and patrons of the arts. 410 0$aNew Cambridge history of India ;$vIII, 6. 517 3 $aThe Indian Princes & their States 607 $aIndia$xKings and rulers 607 $aIndia$xHistory$yBritish occupation, 1765-1947 607 $aIndia$xPolitics and government$y1765-1947 676 $a954.03 700 $aRamusack$b Barbara N.$01052273 801 0$bUkCbUP 801 1$bUkCbUP 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910449789703321 996 $aThe Indian princes and their states$92483393 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01653nam0 22003491i 450 001 UON00463509 005 20231205105134.414 010 $a978-88-7748-317-1 100 $a20160120f2010 |0itac50 ba 101 $aita 102 $aIT 105 $a|||| 1|||| 200 1 $aEptalogia di Hyeronimus$bi.e. Hieronymus] Bosch. 1: L' inappetenza ; La stravaganza ; La modestia ; La stupidità$fRafael Spregelburd$ga cura di Manuela Cherubini - Milano$eUbulibri, c2010 210 $a204 p.$a22 cm. 410 1$1001UON00175942$12001 $aˆI ‰Testi Ubulibri$1210 $aMilano$cUbulibri. 464 1$1001UON00466800$12001 $aˆL' ‰inappetenza$v 464 1$1001UON00466803$12001 $aˆLa ‰modestia$v 464 1$1001UON00466802$12001 $aˆLa ‰stravaganza$v 464 1$1001UON00466804$12001 $aˆLa ‰stupidità$v 606 $aBOSCH HIERONYMUS$3UONC041612$2FI 620 $aIT$dMilano$3UONL000005 676 $a862.7$cLetteratura drammatica spagnola, 2000-$v22 700 1$aSPREGELBURD$bRafael$3UONV231170$0620824 702 1$aCHERUBINI$bManuela$3UONV231173 712 $aUbulibri$3UONV251467$4650 801 $aIT$bSOL$c20240220$gRICA 899 $aSIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEO$2UONSI 912 $aUON00463509 950 $aSIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEO$dSI Teat 792 A SPR 1 $eSI 16847 7 1 951 $aSIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEO$bSI201692 1J 20160120 996 $aEptalogia di Hyeronimus$91398081 997 $aUNIOR
