Closing remarks -- $tReferences -- $tIndex 330 $aSince the recent creation of a large-scale corpus of Italian Sign Language (LIS), a new research branch has been established to study the sociolinguistic variation characterizing this language in various linguistic domains. However, for nominal modification, the role of language-internal variation remains uncertain. This volume represents the first attempt to investigate sign order variability in this domain, examining what shapes the syntactic structure of LIS nominal expressions. In particular, three empirical studies are presented and discussed: the first two are corpus studies investigating the distribution and duration of nominal modifiers, while the third deals with the syntactic behavior of cardinal numerals, an unexplored area. In this enterprise, three different theoretical dimensions of inquiry are innovatively combined: linguistic typology, generative linguistics, and sociolinguistics. The research setup involves both quantitative and qualitative data. This mixed approach starts from corpus data to present the phenomenon, examine linguistic facts on a large scale, and draw questions from these, and then looks at elicited and judgment-based data to provide valid insights and refine the analysis. Crucially, the combination of different methods contributes to a better understanding of the mechanisms driving nominal modification in LIS and its internal variation. 410 0$aSign languages and deaf communities ;$vVolume 8. 606 $aItalian Sign Language 606 $aItalian language 607 $aItaly$xLanguages 608 $aElectronic books. 610 $aGenerative Linguistics. 610 $aItalian Sign Language. 610 $aLinguistic Typology. 615 0$aItalian Sign Language. 615 0$aItalian language. 676 $a419.45 700 $aMantovan$b Lara$01040984 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910465804203321 996 $aNominal modification in Italian sign language$92464227 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03097nam 2200577Ia 450 001 9910457687203321 005 20211007000149.0 010 $a1-61668-870-X 035 $a(CKB)2550000000059454 035 $a(EBL)3018124 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000569765 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11383173 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000569765 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10547855 035 $a(PQKB)10471054 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC3018124 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL3018124 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10659046 035 $a(OCoLC)923657743 035 $a(EXLCZ)992550000000059454 100 $a20100312d2010 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 00$aPerovskites$b[electronic resource] $estructure, properties, and uses /$fMaxim Borowski, editor 210 $aNew York $cNova Science Publishers$dc2010 215 $a1 online resource (587 p.) 225 0 $aChemical engineering methods and technology 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 $a1-61668-525-5 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 327 $a""CONTENTS""; ""PREFACE""; ""CONTROLLED FABRICATION AND CATALYTIC APPLICATIONS OF SPECIFICALLY MORPHOLOGICAL AND POROUS PEROVSKITE-TYPE OXIDES""; ""PEROVSKITES AND THEIR NANOCOMPOSITES WITH FLUORITE-LIKE OXIDES AS MATERIALS FOR SOLID OXIDE FUEL CELLS CATHODES AND OXYGEN-CONDUCTING MEMBRANES: MOBILITY AND REACTIVITY OF THE SURFACE/BULK OXYGEN AS A KEY FACTOR OF THEIR PERFORMANCE""; ""ON THE NATURE OF LOW-TEMPERATURE RESISTIVE PEAK IN COLOSSAL MAGNETORESISTANT MATERIALS""; ""STRUCTURAL, MAGNETIC AND ELECTRON TRANSPORT PROPERTIES OF ORDERED-DISORDERED PEROVSKITE COBALTITES"" 327 $a""ELECTRICALLY TUNABLE DIELECTRIC AND CONDUCTION PROPERTIES IN PEROVSKITE THIN FILMS""""PEROVSKITE-TYPE OXIDES: SYNTHESIS AND APPLICATION IN CATALYSIS""; ""MECHANISM OF FORMATION OF PEROVSKITE-TYPE LAYERED OXIDES""; ""SOME THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF MAGNETIC STRUCTURE, SPIN EXCITATIONS AND MAGNETIZATION OF MANGANITES""; ""CORRELATIONS BETWEEN THE STRUCTURE OF ORDERED SOLID SOLUTIONS AND PARAMETERS OF PAIR INTERACTIONS IN PEROVSKITES""; ""ABX3-TYPE OXIDES AND HALIDES: THEIR STRUCTURE AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIES""; ""FERROELECTRIC PBTIO3: FROM A SINGLE-DOMAIN STATE TO COMPOSITE COMPONENTS"" 327 $a""DOUBLE PEROVSKITES WITH STRUCTURE-DISORDERED OXYGEN SUBLATTICE AS HIGH-TEMPERATURE PROTON CONDUCTORS""""SHORT- AND LONG-RANGE FERROMAGNETIC ORDERS IN LA1-""; ""CRITICAL BEHAVIOR STUDY""; ""REDDISH CERAMIC PIGMENTS WITH PEROVSKITE STRUCTURE""; ""INDEX"" 410 0$aChemical Engineering Methods and Technology 606 $aPerovskite materials 606 $aOxide minerals 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aPerovskite materials 615 0$aOxide minerals. 676 $a549/.528 701 $aBorowski$b Maxim$01042772 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910457687203321 996 $aPerovskites$92467256 997 $aUNINA
