Après L?Effraie et ses notations où s?inscrit une sensualité - notations riches de potentialités de rêveries -, L?Ignorant, livre de sagesse, s?exerce à la dépossession. Le poète, veilleur, passeur, s?efforce de tourner avec la lumière, de persévérer avec les eaux et de passer avec les oiseaux. Éléments d?un songe donne les clefs de l?inspiration des poèmes et proses qui suivent (Airs, Paysages avec figures absentes) : il s?agit d?être à l?écoute du divin répandu dans l?herbe. Airs offre une lecture au fil des saisons qui note le battement de la vie. Dans Paysages avec figures absentes on voit le poète passer de l?inscription simplement recueillie à la rage de l?inscription. Insensiblement la page du sensible - si ardemment tenue dans Airs -, est trouée et la rêverie s?échappe dans l?Illimité. Le paysage devient sermon. Leçons et Chants d?en-bas rappellent à l?humilité le rêveur trop confiant dans les mots.
