These stories by Iraqi scholars raise many important insights, issues and questions. Their accounts provide some chilling insights into the terrible forms of oppression and discrimination that are part of the barriers to the realisation of an inclusive and creative development. It is extremely difficult to appreciate the pain and suffering that has been an integral part of their lives. Their accounts are readable and refreshingly honest. I do believe that there is a moral responsibility for all members of departments in universities to read and discuss this book as a matter of urgency. This needs to be done in terms of what we can learn about Iraq and in turn, to critically examine our own current conditions, relations, policies and practices, so that we can also struggle for a more inclusive system of educational provision and practice in higher education. 410 0$aStudies in Inclusive Education ;$v15 606 $aEducation 606 $aEducation 615 0$aEducation. 615 14$aEducation. 676 $a370 701 $aBrunskell-Evans$b Heather$01791302 701 $aMoore$b Michele$01791303 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910968537103321 996 $aReimagining Research for Reclaiming the Academy in Iraq: Identities and Participation in Post-Conflict Enquiry$94328447 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03689oas 22012493a 450 001 9910981585803321 005 20260127110410.0 011 $a1557-055X 035 $a(DE-599)ZDB2275483-0 035 $a(OCoLC)61125729 035 $a(CONSER) 2005214976 035 $a(CKB)1000000000278737 035 $a(DE-599)2275483-0 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000278737 100 $a20050722a20079999 sy a 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcn||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aProgress in community health partnerships 210 $aBaltimore, Md. $cJohns Hopkins University Press$d2007- 300 $aRefereed/Peer-reviewed 311 08$a1557-0541 531 0 $aProg. community health partnersh. 606 $aPublic health$vPeriodicals 606 $aPublic health$xResearch$xCitizen participation$vPeriodicals 606 $aCommunity health services$xResearch$vPeriodicals 606 $aPublic health 606 $aCommunity health services$vPeriodicals 606 $aPublic Health 606 $aCommunity Health Services$xresearch 606 $aCommunity Networks 606 $aCommunity Health Services 606 $aMedically Underserved Area 606 $aServices communautaires de sante?$vPe?riodiques 606 $aSante? publique$vPe?riodiques 606 $aSante? publique$xRecherche$xParticipation des citoyens$vPe?riodiques 606 $aSante? publique 606 $apublic health$2aat 606 $aCommunity health services$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst00870958 606 $aCommunity health services$xResearch$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst00870995 606 $aPublic health$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst01082238 606 $aPublic health$xResearch$xCitizen participation$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst01082294 608 $aPeriodical. 608 $aperiodicals.$2aat 608 $aPeriodicals.$2fast 608 $aPeriodicals.$2lcgft 608 $aPe?riodiques.$2rvmgf 615 0$aPublic health 615 0$aPublic health$xResearch$xCitizen participation 615 0$aCommunity health services$xResearch 615 0$aPublic health. 615 0$aCommunity health services 615 2$aPublic Health. 615 2$aCommunity Health Services$xresearch. 615 12$aCommunity Networks. 615 22$aCommunity Health Services. 615 22$aMedically Underserved Area. 615 6$aServices communautaires de sante? 615 6$aSante? publique 615 6$aSante? publique$xRecherche$xParticipation des citoyens 615 6$aSante? publique. 615 7$apublic health. 615 7$aCommunity health services. 615 7$aCommunity health services$xResearch. 615 7$aPublic health. 615 7$aPublic health$xResearch$xCitizen participation. 676 $a362.1 801 0$bNSD 801 1$bNSD 801 2$bDLC 801 2$bMUQ 801 2$bNSD 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bCFI 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bHEBIS 801 2$bVRC 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bOCLCF 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bZ5A 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bOCLCA 801 2$bBUF 801 2$bAPUMS 801 2$bEZC 801 2$bVT2 801 2$bSFB 801 2$bGWM 801 2$bCNMTR 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bOCL 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bUAB 801 2$bOCLCL 801 2$bOCLCQ 906 $aJOURNAL 912 $a9910981585803321 996 $aProgress in community health partnerships$92390655 997 $aUNINA
