This book presents results and analyses of this survey for the first time in English. Key issues explored include demographics, representations of Jewish identity, expressions of community solidarity, social issues, and values. Data was analyzed using multi-dimensional techniques, revealing underlying structural relationships and an axiological typology. The translation of the French edition was expanded for accessibility to an English-speaking audience, including a background on history, socio-political climate and related philosophical works. The cumulative result is the most up-to-date and comprehensive look at the Jews of France at the turn of the third millennium. This book is also available in paperback. \'...the empirical centerpiece of Cohen?s study is sound, invaluable, and often highly illuminating. The study applies a linear optimization framework to data for bound tariffs, applied tariffs, and imports at the HS-6 digit level for 58 developing countries, and simulates results for different sets of import demand elasticities and developing country "flexibilities." While only a small number of countries face a significant impact, results point toward the need for complementary fiscal measures in the countries most affected by revenue loss. 410 0$aIMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;$vNo. 2006/203 606 $aFree trade 606 $aTariff 606 $aExports and Imports$2imf 606 $aTaxation$2imf 606 $aEconomic Theory$2imf 606 $aTrade Policy$2imf 606 $aInternational Trade Organizations$2imf 606 $aTrade: General$2imf 606 $aAgriculture: Aggregate Supply and Demand Analysis$2imf 606 $aPrices$2imf 606 $aPublic finance & taxation$2imf 606 $aInternational economics$2imf 606 $aEconomic theory & philosophy$2imf 606 $aTariffs$2imf 606 $aTrade liberalization$2imf 606 $aImports$2imf 606 $aTaxes on trade$2imf 606 $aDemand elasticity$2imf 606 $aTariff$2imf 606 $aCommercial policy$2imf 606 $aElasticity$2imf 606 $aEconomics$2imf 607 $aHong Kong Special Administrative Region, People's Republic of China$2imf 615 0$aFree trade. 615 0$aTariff. 615 7$aExports and Imports 615 7$aTaxation 615 7$aEconomic Theory 615 7$aTrade Policy 615 7$aInternational Trade Organizations 615 7$aTrade: General 615 7$aAgriculture: Aggregate Supply and Demand Analysis 615 7$aPrices 615 7$aPublic finance & taxation 615 7$aInternational economics 615 7$aEconomic theory & philosophy 615 7$aTariffs 615 7$aTrade liberalization 615 7$aImports 615 7$aTaxes on trade 615 7$aDemand elasticity 615 7$aTariff 615 7$aCommercial policy 615 7$aElasticity 615 7$aEconomics 700 $aSadikov$b Azim$01574038 701 $aLankes$b Hans$01574039 701 $aSmith$b Dustin$01574040 701 $aElborgh-Woytek$b Katrin$01546578 701 $aHallaert$b Jean-Jacques$01485194 712 02$aInternational Monetary Fund.$bPolicy Development and Review Dept. 801 0$bDcWaIMF 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910788408603321 996 $aFiscal Implications of Multilateral Tariff Cuts$93850057 997 $aUNINA
