The book gathers presentations that deal with fields of application as defined in the introduction to the first volume in the ACL series (Kristiansen et al 2006). The articles in the first section ("From loop to cycle") are defining papers written by eminent scholars whose position within the field of CL has been firmly established. They touch upon issues of continuing relevance to the discipline and introduce thematic areas covered in the next four sections of the volume. Papers in these sections are mainly written by young scholars, whose research illustrates various ways to implement the cycle through different forms of contextualization, either presenting descriptive applications that lead to theoretical amendments or widening the field of possible applications, often interdisciplinary, e.g. to theological or metaphysical discourse. Frequently, section papers provide illustration for the empirical turn in Cognitive Linguistics, demonstrating the ways in which application of theory to new data using new methodologies leads to refinement, development or modification of the theoretical framework. The book is of relevance to students of (applied) linguistics, interested or specializing in language acquisition and pedagogy, intercultural communication, literary and translation studies, as well as to academics and students representing cognate disciplines. 410 0$aApplications of Cognitive Linguistics [ACL] 606 $aCognitive grammar 606 $aLanguage and languages$xStudy and teaching 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aCognitive grammar. 615 0$aLanguage and languages$xStudy and teaching. 676 $a371.33/5 686 $aER 300$2rvk 701 $aTabakowska$b Elz?bieta$0711136 701 $aChoin?ski$b Micha?$f1983-$01037053 701 $aWiraszka$b ??ukasz$f1982-$01037054 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910455986003321 996 $aCognitive linguistics in action$92457750 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04712nam 22009133u 450 001 9910145418603321 005 20210114063144.0 010 $a1-119-20167-5 010 $a1-281-32293-8 010 $a9786611322939 010 $a0-470-75434-6 035 $a(CKB)1000000000405958 035 $a(EBL)351325 035 $a(OCoLC)476171693 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000364047 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)12107496 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000364047 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10394738 035 $a(PQKB)11008080 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC351325 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL351325 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr11194347 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL132293 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000405958 100 $a20130418d2008|||| u|| | 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aOut of the Ashes$b[electronic resource] $eTools for Recovering Corporate Health 205 $a1st ed. 210 $aChichester $cWiley$d2008 215 $a1 online resource (356 p.) 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 $a0-470-51868-5 327 $aRelational Coaching; Preface; Contents; Part I: The Ways of Coaching; Introduction: the paths towards coaching; Chapter 1: From Intake to Intervention: the Outlines of a Profession; Chapter 2: From Stigma to Status: the Growth of a Profession; Chapter 3: From Prize-fighting to Prizes for All: the Active Ingredients; Chapter 4: From Intervention to Interaction: Relational Coaching; Part II: The Ways of Research; Introduction: the paths towards research; Chapter 5: Coachees Have Their Say: Which Interventions Work for Us? 327 $aChapter 6: 'I Doubt therefore I Coach': Critical Moments of Less Experienced CoachesChapter 7: 'I Struggle and Emerge': Critical Moments of Experienced Coaches; Chapter 8: Coaches Have Their Say: How to Handle Critical Moments?; Part III: The Ways of Excellence; Introduction: the paths towards excellence; Chapter 9: Training and Accreditation of the Executive Coach; Chapter 10: Continuing Professional Development of the Executive Coach; Chapter 11: Library of the Executive Coach; Chapter 12: Future of the Executive Coach; Appendix A: 80 Critical Moments of New Coaches 327 $aAppendix B: 78 Critical Moments of Experienced CoachesAppendix C: Case Study: Tamara; Appendix D: Verbatim Transcript: Ken; Appendix E: Code of Conduct for Executive Coaches; 1 General principles; 2 Code of ethics; 3 Code of practice; Appendix F: Intake Instruments and Checklists; 1 For the recipient of coaching; 2 For the coach; 3 For triangular contracts; Literature; Index 330 $aTake a management journey to the heart of the restructuring of SN Brussels Airlines, sharing the dos and don'ts of Jean-Fre?de?ric Mognetti's three years of hands-on experience as restructuring catalyst to the company. In 2002 SN rose out of the ashes of Belgian airline SABENA, witnessing a remarkable turnaround and returning to continuing profits as early as the second year of operations, even going on to acquire Virgin Express in 2005. This was achieved with a modest equity investment of ?150 million, 12 times less than the cash that Swiss International Airlines, SN's former sister company, bu 606 $aAirlines - Management 606 $aAirlines -- Management 606 $aCorporate turnarounds 606 $aCorporate turnarounds 606 $aOrganizational change 606 $aOrganizational change 606 $aCorporate turnarounds$xManagement 606 $aOrganizational change 606 $aAirlines 606 $aManagement$2HILCC 606 $aBusiness & Economics$2HILCC 606 $aTransportation Economics$2HILCC 606 $aManagement Styles & Communication$2HILCC 608 $aElectronic books. 615 4$aAirlines - Management. 615 4$aAirlines -- Management. 615 4$aCorporate turnarounds. 615 4$aCorporate turnarounds. 615 4$aOrganizational change. 615 4$aOrganizational change. 615 0$aCorporate turnarounds$xManagement 615 0$aOrganizational change 615 0$aAirlines 615 7$aManagement 615 7$aBusiness & Economics 615 7$aTransportation Economics 615 7$aManagement Styles & Communication 676 $a387.7068 676 $a658.4/06 676 $a658.406 700 $aMognetti$b Jean Fre?de?ric$0983902 702 $aMognetti$b Jean-Frâedâeric 801 0$bAU-PeEL 801 1$bAU-PeEL 801 2$bAU-PeEL 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910145418603321 996 $aOut of the Ashes$92246345 997 $aUNINA
