Beide Reparaturtypen weisen spezifische prosodische, lexikalische und syntaktische Kontextualisierungshinweise auf. Als Datengrundlage dienen ein nähesprachliches Testcorpus und ein distanzsprachliches Kontrollcorpus; die Analyse erfolgt in einem variationslinguistischen Ansatz. In konzeptioneller Nähe kontextualisieren Sprecher Korrekturen tendenziell zu Paraphrasen um. Zur Erklärung der Ergebnisse werden nähesprachliche Kommunikationsbedingungen herangezogen, insbesondere Dialogizität: Semantisch inkompatible Korrekturen stellen ein konversationelles Problem dar, da sie die Diskurskohärenz stärker als Paraphrasen beeinträchtigen und das damit verbundene Risiko, das Rederecht aufzugeben, erhöhen.
