Atkinson. 330 $aWinner of the Award of Excellence of the Foundation for Pentecostal Scholarship 2010. The teaching of Kenyon, Hagin and Copeland that Jesus ?died spiritually? (JDS) is important because of the influence of these men, not least on Pentecostalism. JDS originated with Kenyon, and has been taught in the Word-faith movement by Hagin and Copeland, despite much criticism. It incorporates three elements: in this death, Jesus was separated from God; partook of a satanic nature; and was Satan?s prey. This theological appraisal takes research far further than previous works, both in method and in scope. It concludes that adoption of JDS by Pentecostalism would be damaging in several respects, and thus draw the latter away from its moorings in traditional Christianity. Pentecostals and others are advised to reject the bulk of this teaching. 410 0$aGlobal Pentecostal and Charismatic studies ;$vv. 1. 606 $aFaith movement (Hagin) 606 $aPentecostalism 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aFaith movement (Hagin) 615 0$aPentecostalism. 676 $a232.96/3 700 $aAtkinson$b William$f1961-$0931079 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910455267703321 996 $aThe 'spiritual death' of Jesus$92094409 997 $aUNINA LEADER 00930nam a2200265 i 4500 001 991001061859707536 005 20020507105929.0 008 970308s1986 it ||| | ita 020 $a8870563669 035 $ab10168138-39ule_inst 035 $aLE00641479$9ExL 040 $aDip.to Fisica$bita 084 $a005.36'9 084 $a621.3.8 100 1 $aGiaccaglini, Gianni$0340333 245 10$aLotus 1-2-3 e Symphony :$bmodelli decisionali /$cGianni Giaccaglini 260 $aMilano :$bGruppo Editoriale Jackson,$c1986 300 $aviii, 111 p. ;$c24 cm. 650 4$aFile organization (Computer science) 907 $a.b10168138$b21-09-06$c27-06-02 912 $a991001061859707536 945 $aLE006 621.3.8 GIA$g1$i2006000051583$lle006$o-$pE0.00$q-$rl$s- $t0$u0$v0$w0$x0$y.i10205251$z27-06-02 996 $aLotus 1-2-3 e Symphony$9188310 997 $aUNISALENTO 998 $ale006$b01-01-97$cm$da $e-$fita$git $h0$i1
