It has been tested on students, unfamiliar with neural networks, who were able to pick up enough details to successfully complete their masters or final year undergraduate projects. The text also presents a comprehensive treatment of a class of neural networks called common bandwidth spherical basis function NNs, including the probabilistic NN, the modified probabilistic NN and the general regression. It brings together insights from discourse-functional linguistics, stylistics, and conversation analysis to understand how language resources are used to enact stances in intersubjective space. While there are numerous studies devoted to youth language, the focus has been mainly on face-to-face interaction. Other types of youth interaction, particularly in mediated forms, have received little attention. This book draws on data from four different text types - conversation, e-forums, comics, and teen fiction - to highlight the multidirectional nature of style construction. Indonesia provides a rich context for the study of style and intersubjectivity among youth. In constructing style, Indonesian urban youth have been moving away from conventions which emphasized hierarchy and uniformity toward new ways of connecting in intersubjective space. This book analyzes how these new ways are realized in different text types. This book makes a valuable addition to sociolinguistic literature on youth and language and an essential reading for those interested in Austronesian sociolinguistics. 410 0$aContributions to the sociology of language ;$v108. 606 $aYouth$xLanguage 606 $aSociolinguistics 607 $aIndonesia$xLanguages 608 $aElectronic books. 610 $aIndonesian. 610 $aIntersubjectivity. 610 $aYouth Language. 615 0$aYouth$xLanguage. 615 0$aSociolinguistics. 676 $a306.44083/09598 700 $aDjenar$b Dwi Noverini$0761369 702 $aEwing$b Michael C. 702 $aManns$b Howard 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996309055703316 996 $aStyle and intersubjectivity in youth interaction$92055513 997 $aUNISA LEADER 03561nam 22009255 450 001 9910961529303321 005 20240508221120.0 010 $a9781283946711 010 $a1283946718 010 $a9781137297372 010 $a1137297379 024 7 $a10.1057/9781137297372 035 $a(CKB)2670000000315585 035 $a(EBL)1109219 035 $a(OCoLC)824117947 035 $a(SSID)ssj0001656887 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)16437521 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001656887 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)14988315 035 $a(PQKB)11390332 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000859748 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)12420041 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000859748 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10883266 035 $a(PQKB)11709558 035 $a(DE-He213)978-1-137-29737-2 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC1109219 035 $a(Perlego)3485368 035 $a(EXLCZ)992670000000315585 100 $a20151209d2013 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$a'Post'-9/11 South Asian Diasporic Fiction $eUncanny Terror /$fby P.
