A group of leading historians and thinkers discuss questions of collective identity and representation in relation to the fluctuating concept of ""Past"" and its changing relevance. Among the topics are Greek historiographical questions, Balkan history, the Armenian problem, and the Plaestine historical narrative. 606 $aReligion and politics$zMediterranean Region 606 $aHuman geography$zMediterranean Region 607 $aMediterranean Region$xHistoriography 607 $aMediterranean Region$xPolitics and government 607 $aEurope$xPolitics and government$y20th century 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aReligion and politics 615 0$aHuman geography 676 $a909/.09822 701 $aLevi$b Giovanni$f1939-$0151919 701 $aRevel$b Jacques$f1942-$0198393 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910453947603321 996 $aPolitical uses of the past$92279032 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02827nam 2200433 450 001 9910522564803321 005 20230323232336.0 010 $a3-030-84651-2 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC6882517 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL6882517 035 $a(CKB)21069304600041 035 $a(PPN)260830763 035 $a(EXLCZ)9921069304600041 100 $a20220925d2022 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 00$aMine wastes and water, ecological engineering and metals extraction $esustainability and circular economy /$fedited by Margarete Kalin-Seidenfaden and William N. It estimates global water consumption by major mining resources per annum. This consumption will lead land use resources (agriculture and water) to collide with mining interests expected in the near future. With the application of novel metal extraction processes and the adoption of ecological engineering as an approach to waste and water management, a reduction in water and land consumption can be achieved. Using these methodologies would make mining more sustainable. Together with ore and metal recycling, mining methods can be brought into the 21st century. The book describes natural weathering processes and the microbiology of extreme environments, also known as mine sites. The role of microbes in weathering and remediation is emphasized, along with case studies of the enhancement of various ecological processes which curtail weathering and transform pollutants, creating ore bodies of the future. This book has been written as an extension to a contribution to the Oxford Research Encyclopedia. It adds depth and many examples from 40 years of multidisciplinary work with experts from geology, hydrogeology, geomicrobiology and algal physiology and chemistry, items too extensive for the Encyclopedia." 606 $aMineral industries$xWaste disposal 606 $aRefuse and refuse disposal 615 0$aMineral industries$xWaste disposal. 615 0$aRefuse and refuse disposal. 676 $a622.0286 702 $aKalin-Seidenfaden$b Margarete 702 $aWheeler$b William N. 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910522564803321 996 $aMine wastes and water, ecological engineering and metals extraction$92918534 997 $aUNINA
