Scholars have long focused on his apocalyptic interpretation of the rise of the Muslim Ottoman Empire, but only a few have probed deeper into his thought on Islam. As a result, one of the most influential thinkers in the western intellectual tradition has received very little attention in the history of Christian perceptions of and responses to Islam. Drawing upon a vast array of the Reformer?s writings while also examining several key texts, this book reveals an often-overlooked aspect of Luther's thought, and thereby provides fresh insight into his place in the history of Christian-Muslim relations. 410 0$aHistory of Christian-Muslim relations ;$vv. 8. 606 $aChristianity and other religions$xIslam 606 $aIslam$xRelations$xChristianity 606 $aApologetics 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aChristianity and other religions$xIslam. 615 0$aIslam$xRelations$xChristianity. 615 0$aApologetics. 676 $a261.2/7092 700 $aFrancisco$b Adam$0957656 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910453587203321 996 $aMartin Luther and Islam$92169117 997 $aUNINA
