Though located at the periphery of the main migration routes, the federal state with its liberal policies on foreigners became a key destination for students, revolutionaries, and travelers. The micro-studies and more general papers of this volume approach the topic in its transnational, local, linguistic, gendered, and ideological dimensions and from various disciplinary angles. They interweave and facilitate a novel take on the transitory spatial history and the Lebenswelt of East European Jews in Switzerland. Topics of this volume range - among others - from the location of Switzerland on the map of East European Jewish politics (Bundism, Socialism, Yiddishism, Zionism), conflicting performative cultures of Jewish and Russian revolutionaries, the Swiss Lehr- and Wanderjahre of the Jewish public intellectual Meir Wiener, the impact of Geneva on the Zionist Hebrew writer Ben Ami, the Russian-Jewish students' colonies in Berne and Zurich and questions of individuals' integration and acculturation. 410 0$aNew perspectives on modern Jewish history ;$vv. 5. 606 $aJews$zSwitzerland$xHistory$y19th century 606 $aJews$zSwitzerland$xHistory$y20th century 606 $aJews, East European$zSwitzerland$xHistory$y19th century 606 $aJews, East European$zSwitzerland$xHistory$y20th century 607 $aSwitzerland$xEthnic relations 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aJews$xHistory 615 0$aJews$xHistory 615 0$aJews, East European$xHistory 615 0$aJews, East European$xHistory 676 $a949.4/004924047 701 $aLewinsky$b Tamar$01040040 701 $aMayoraz$b Sandrine$01040041 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910453374503321 996 $aEast European Jews in Switzerland$92462637 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03197nam 22006135 450 001 9911046535603321 005 20251121114927.0 010 $a981-9511-09-7 024 7 $a10.1007/978-981-95-1109-9 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC32425735 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL32425735 035 $a(CKB)43659074500041 035 $a(DE-He213)978-981-95-1109-9 035 $a(EXLCZ)9943659074500041 100 $a20251121d2026 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aProceedings of the 6th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Control Applications ? It covers new control system models, troubleshooting tips, and complex system requirements, such as increased speed, precision, and remote capabilities. Additionally, the book discusses not only the engineering aspects of signal processing and various practical issues in the broad field of information transmission, but also novel technologies for communication networks and modern antenna design. The later part of the book covers important related topics such as fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control strategies for nonlinear systems and alternative energy sources. This book is intended for researchers, engineers, and advanced postgraduate students in the fields of control and electrical engineering, computer science, signal processing, as well as mechanical and chemical engineering. 410 0$aLecture Notes in Electrical Engineering,$x1876-1119 ;$v1471 606 $aControl engineering 606 $aSignal processing 606 $aComputational intelligence 606 $aTelecommunication 606 $aControl and Systems Theory 606 $aSignal, Speech and Image Processing 606 $aComputational Intelligence 606 $aCommunications Engineering, Networks 615 0$aControl engineering. 615 0$aSignal processing. 615 0$aComputational intelligence. 615 0$aTelecommunication. 615 14$aControl and Systems Theory. 615 24$aSignal, Speech and Image Processing. 615 24$aComputational Intelligence. 615 24$aCommunications Engineering, Networks. 676 $a629.8312 676 $a003 700 $aBououden$b Sofiane$01769086 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9911046535603321 996 $aProceedings of the 6th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Control Applications ?
