Economists have been forced to reexamine fundamental questions of measurement technique. Some researchers argue that econometric approaches to productivity measurement usefully address shortcomings of the dominant index number techniques while others maintain that current productivity statistics underreport damage to the environment. In this book, the contributors propose innovative approaches to these issues. The result is a state-of-the-art exposition of contemporary productivity analysis. Charles R. Hulten is professor of economics at the University of Maryland. He has been a senior research associate at the Urban Institute and is chair of the Conference on Research in Income and Wealth of the National Bureau of Economic Research. Michael Harper is chief of the Division of Productivity Research at the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Edwin R. Dean, formerly associate commissioner for Productivity and Technology at the Bureau of Labor Statistics, is adjunct professor of economics at The George Washington University. 410 0$aStudies in income and wealth ;$vv. 63. 606 $aIndustrial productivity$vCongresses 606 $aEconomic development$vCongresses 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aIndustrial productivity 615 0$aEconomic development 676 $a338/.06 701 $aHulten$b Charles R$0123318 701 $aDean$b Edwin$0382501 701 $aHarper$b Michael J$0266508 712 02$aConference on Research in Income and Wealth. 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910451066203321 996 $aNew developments in productivity analysis$92216455 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01827nam0 22004813i 450 001 VAN00289354 005 20250327113439.869 017 70$2N$a9783540470236 100 $a20250317d1992 |0itac50 ba 101 $aeng 102 $aDE 105 $a|||| ||||| 181 $ai$b e 182 $ab 183 $acr 200 1 $aDynamics in One Dimension$fL.
