Patarenes was an alternative name for Cathars, and this text is of considerable importance to an understanding of the relationship between the western Cathars and older Byzantine dualist movements. Hugh's treatise is here published for the first time in a text established from the two extant manuscripts, together with a commentary and translation, a biography of the author and an historical introduction about the place of Hugh's treatise in the history of Christian dualism. 410 0$aThe Medieval Mediterranean ;$v55. 606 $aAdvice 606 $aAlbigenses 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aAdvice. 615 0$aAlbigenses. 676 $a273/.6 700 $aHamilton$b Bernard$0161899 702 $aHamilton$b Janet 801 0$bNL-LeKB 801 1$bNL-LeKB 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910451012503321 996 $aHugh Eteriano, Contra Patarenos$92461602 997 $aUNINA
