Girald appears to have been an unyielding defender of the 'realistic' position, holding that our variously articulated concepts ( intentiones ) are representative of as many distinctions in Reality. The main target of his severe criticism upon contemporaneous views of the matter is Herve? de Ne?dellec, who was the first to write a monograph De intentionibus , which betrays his adherence to a moderate realism. The editor's extensive study of the intentionality debate of those years focusses on the development of the cognition theory in the period between Thomas Aquinas and Peter Auriol (d. 1322). 410 0$aStudien und Texte zur Geistesgeschichte des Mittelalters ;$v86. 517 3 $aVol. II: De intentionibus 606 $aChristian philosophy 606 $aMedieval philosophy 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aChristian philosophy. 615 0$aMedieval philosophy. 676 $a189/.4 702 $aRijk$b de 801 0$bNL-LeKB 801 1$bNL-LeKB 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910450976203321 996 $aGiraldus Odonis O.F.M.: Opera Philosophica$92490538 997 $aUNINA
