Given the importance of representations and reinterpretations of Abraham within Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, a careful analysis of this early source is an important contribution to research both on the evolving images of biblical patriarchs and on the history of biblical interpretation. There are many references to Jubilees in articles and books on images of Abraham. They are chosen for exegetical motifs, with little attention for its own literary and narrative dynamics, or for the specific writing and reading practices that it embodies and attests. Van Ruiten?s careful analysis thus provides important context and corrective. 410 0$aSupplements to the Journal for the Study of Judaism$v161. 606 $aTheology 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aTheology. 676 $a229.911 676 $a229/.911 700 $aRuiten$b J. van$g(Jacques)$0943529 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910462364103321 996 $aAbraham in the Book of Jubilees$92129445 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03034nam 2200649Ia 450 001 9910450582803321 005 20200520144314.0 010 $a1-281-36975-6 010 $a9786611369750 010 $a1-4039-8312-7 024 7 $a10.1057/9781403983121 035 $a(CKB)1000000000342700 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000113817 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11138117 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000113817 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10101506 035 $a(PQKB)11432011 035 $a(DE-He213)978-1-4039-8312-1 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC308194 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL308194 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10135685 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL136975 035 $a(OCoLC)647537186 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000342700 100 $a20051101d2006 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurnn#008mamaa 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 14$aThe book of the knight of the tower$b[electronic resource] $emanners for young medieval women /$fRebecca Barnhouse 205 $a1st ed. 2006. 210 $aNew York $cPalgrave Macmillan$d2006 215 $a1 online resource (256 p.) 225 1 $aStudies in Arthurian and courtly cultures 300 $aBibliographic Level Mode of Issuance: Monograph 311 $a1-349-53159-6 311 $a1-4039-6991-4 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 327 $aCh. 1. These stories range from the shockingly bawdy to the deeply pious, and often end with morals about the ways women can avoid 'blame, shame, and defame'. 410 0$aStudies in Arthurian and courtly cultures. 606 $aYoung women$xConduct of life 606 $aChristian women$xConduct of life 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aYoung women$xConduct of life. 615 0$aChristian women$xConduct of life. 676 $a170.82 700 $aBarnhouse$b Rebecca$0962206 701 $aLa Tour Landry$b Geoffroy de$f14th cent.$0962207 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910450582803321 996 $aThe book of the knight of the tower$92181703 997 $aUNINA
