The central aim is to identify common neural denominators of conscious awareness, informed by the neurochemistry of natural, drug induced and pathological states of consciousness. Chemicals such as acetylcholine and dopamine, which bridge the synaptic gap between neurones, are the 'neurotransmitters in mind' that form the substance of the volume, which is essential reading for all who believe that unravelling mechanisms of consciousness must include these vital systems of the brain.Up-to-date informati 410 0$aAdvances in consciousness research ;$vv. 36. 606 $aConsciousness 606 $aNeurobehavioral disorders 606 $aNeurochemistry 606 $aNeurotransmitters 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aConsciousness. 615 0$aNeurobehavioral disorders. 615 0$aNeurochemistry. 615 0$aNeurotransmitters. 676 $a153 701 $aAshton$b Heather$0869628 701 $aPerry$b E. Apart from providing the world?s first measurement of these interactions in a mostly unexplored energy region, the data presented advances the neutrino community?s preparedness to search for an asymmetry between matter and anti-matter that may very well provide the physical mechanism for the existence of our universe. The details of these measurements are preceded by brief summaries of the history of the neutrino, the phenomenon of neutrino oscillations, and a description of their interactions. Also provided are details of the experimental setup for the measurements and the muon antineutrino cross-section measurement which motivates the need for dedicated in situ background constraints. The world?s first measurement of the neutrino component of an antineutrino beam using a non-magnetized detector, as well as other crucial background constraints, are also presented. By exploiting correlated systematic uncertainties, combined measurements of the muon neutrino and antineutrino cross sections described in the book maximize the precision of the extracted information from both results. 410 0$aSpringer Theses, Recognizing Outstanding Ph.D. Research,$x2190-5053 606 $aParticles (Nuclear physics) 606 $aQuantum field theory 606 $aParticle acceleration 606 $aElementary Particles, Quantum Field Theory$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P23029 606 $aParticle Acceleration and Detection, Beam Physics$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P23037 615 0$aParticles (Nuclear physics) 615 0$aQuantum field theory. 615 0$aParticle acceleration. 615 14$aElementary Particles, Quantum Field Theory. 615 24$aParticle Acceleration and Detection, Beam Physics. 676 $a539.7215 700 $aGrange$b Joseph$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0792291 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910300414903321 996 $aFirst Measurement of the Muon Anti-Neutrino Charged Current Quasielastic Double-Differential Cross Section$91771575 997 $aUNINA
