Two chapters are concerned with ionospheric and tropospheric path delays of microwave and optical signals used by space geodetic techniques, such as the Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI), or Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR). It is explained how these effects are best reduced and modelled to improve the accuracy of space geodetic measurements. Other chapters are on the deformation of the Earth?s crust due to atmospheric loading, on atmospheric excitation of Earth rotation, and on atmospheric effects on gravity field measurements from special satellite missions such as CHAMP, GRACE, and GOCE. All chapters have been written by staff members of the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformation at TU Wien who are experts in the particular fields. 410 0$aSpringer Atmospheric Sciences,$x2194-5217 606 $aGeophysics 606 $aAtmospheric sciences 606 $aRemote sensing 606 $aPhysical measurements 606 $aMeasurement    606 $aGeophysics/Geodesy$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/G18009 606 $aAtmospheric Sciences$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/G36000 606 $aRemote Sensing/Photogrammetry$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/J13010 606 $aMeasurement Science and Instrumentation$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P31040 606 $aGeophysics and Environmental Physics$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P32000 615 0$aGeophysics. 615 0$aAtmospheric sciences. 615 0$aRemote sensing. 615 0$aPhysical measurements. 615 0$aMeasurement   . 615 14$aGeophysics/Geodesy. 615 24$aAtmospheric Sciences. 615 24$aRemote Sensing/Photogrammetry. 615 24$aMeasurement Science and Instrumentation. 615 24$aGeophysics and Environmental Physics. 676 $a526.6 702 $aBöhm$b Johannes$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aSchuh$b Harald$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910437934503321 996 $aAtmospheric Effects in Space Geodesy$92522994 997 $aUNINA
