Its interdisciplinary analyses show that Renaissance theories of emulating classical heroes generated a deep skepticism about self-presentation, ultimately contributing to a new awareness of representation as representation. Hollow Men shows that the Renaissance questioning of ?interiority? derived from a visual ideal, the monument that was the basis of teachings about imitation. In fact, the decline of exemplary pedagogy and the emergence of modern masculine subjectivity were well underway in the mid?fifteenth century, and these changes were hastened by the rapid development of the printed image. 606 $aItalian literature$yTo 1400$xHistory and criticism 606 $aItalian literature$y15th century$xHistory and criticism 606 $aItalian language$yEarly modern, 1500-1700 606 $aArt, Renaissance$zItaly$xHistory 606 $aMasculinity in literature 606 $aMasculinity in art 606 $aRenaissance$zItaly 610 $aAretino. 610 $aBembo. 610 $aCastiglione. 610 $aGhirlandaio. 610 $aPontano. 610 $aTasso. 610 $aexemplar. 610 $aimpresa. 610 $amonument. 610 $aportrait. 615 0$aItalian literature$xHistory and criticism. 615 0$aItalian literature$xHistory and criticism. 615 0$aItalian language 615 0$aArt, Renaissance$xHistory. 615 0$aMasculinity in literature. 615 0$aMasculinity in art. 615 0$aRenaissance 676 $a850/.9/002 686 $aLIT000000$aHIS020000$aSOC032000$2bisacsh 700 $aGaylard$b Susan$01520785 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910788210003321 996 $aHollow men$93759558 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03924nam 22007935 450 001 9910437590903321 005 20251226203439.0 010 $a3-642-29764-1 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-642-29764-9 035 $a(CKB)3400000000102727 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-642-29764-9 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000879174 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11442817 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000879174 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10850537 035 $a(PQKB)11717126 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC3092034 035 $a(PPN)168315300 035 $a(EXLCZ)993400000000102727 100 $a20130107d2013 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurnn#008mamaa 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aKnowledge Discovery, Knowledge Engineering and Knowledge Management $eSecond International Joint Conference, IC3K 2010, Valencia, Spain, October 25-28, 2010, Revised Selected Papers /$fedited by Ana Fred, Jan Dietz, Kecheng Liu, Joaquim Filipe 205 $a1st ed. 2013. 210 1$aBerlin, Heidelberg :$cSpringer Berlin Heidelberg :$cImprint: Springer,$d2013. 215 $a1 online resource (XVI, 430 p. 149 illus.) 225 1 $aCommunications in Computer and Information Science,$x1865-0937 ;$v272 300 $aBibliographic Level Mode of Issuance: Monograph 311 08$a3-642-29763-3 330 $aThis book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-conference proceedings of the Second International Joint Conference on Knowledge Discovery, Knowledge Engineering, and Knowledge Management, IC3K 2010, held in Valencia, Spain, in October 2010. This book includes revised and extended versions of a strict selection of the best papers presented at the conference; 26 revised full papers together with 2 invited lectures were carefully reviewed and selected from 369 submissions. According to the three covered conferences KDIR 2010, KEOD 2010, and KMIS 2010, the papers are organized in topical sections on knowledge discovery and information retrieval, knowledge engineering and ontology development, and on knowledge management and information sharing. 410 0$aCommunications in Computer and Information Science,$x1865-0937 ;$v272 606 $aApplication software 606 $aComputer networks 606 $aInformation storage and retrieval systems 606 $aSoftware engineering 606 $aUser interfaces (Computer systems) 606 $aHuman-computer interaction 606 $aData mining 606 $aComputer and Information Systems Applications 606 $aComputer Communication Networks 606 $aInformation Storage and Retrieval 606 $aSoftware Engineering 606 $aUser Interfaces and Human Computer Interaction 606 $aData Mining and Knowledge Discovery 615 0$aApplication software. 615 0$aComputer networks. 615 0$aInformation storage and retrieval systems. 615 0$aSoftware engineering. 615 0$aUser interfaces (Computer systems). 615 0$aHuman-computer interaction. 615 0$aData mining. 615 14$aComputer and Information Systems Applications. 615 24$aComputer Communication Networks. 615 24$aInformation Storage and Retrieval. 615 24$aSoftware Engineering. 615 24$aUser Interfaces and Human Computer Interaction. 615 24$aData Mining and Knowledge Discovery. 676 $a005.7 702 $aFred$b Ana$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aDietz$b Jan$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aLiu$b Kecheng$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aFilipe$b Joaquim$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910437590903321 996 $aKnowledge discovery, knowledge engineering and knowledge management$91935676 997 $aUNINA
