According to its traditional understanding, this right gives individuals the possibility to preclude the media from revealing personal facts that are no longer newsworthy, at least where no other interest prevails. Cases sanctioning this understanding still abound in a number of countries. In today?s world, however, the right to be forgotten has evolved, and it appears in a more multi-faceted way. It can involve for instance also the right to access, control and even erase personal data. Of course, these prerogatives depend on various factors and competing interests, of both private and public nature, which again require careful balancing. Due to ongoing technological evolution, it is likely that the right to be forgotten in some of its new manifestations will become increasingly relevant in our societies. 410 0$aIus Comparatum - Global Studies in Comparative Law,$x2214-6881 ;$v40 606 $aPrivate international law 606 $aConflict of laws 606 $aMass media 606 $aLaw 606 $aComputers 606 $aLaw and legislation 606 $aBig data 606 $aPrivate International Law, International & Foreign Law, Comparative Law $3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/R14002 606 $aIT Law, Media Law, Intellectual Property$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/R15009 606 $aLegal Aspects of Computing$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I24059 606 $aBig Data/Analytics$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/522070 615 0$aPrivate international law. 615 0$aConflict of laws. 615 0$aMass media. 615 0$aLaw. 615 0$aComputers. 615 0$aLaw and legislation. 615 0$aBig data. 615 14$aPrivate International Law, International & Foreign Law, Comparative Law . 615 24$aIT Law, Media Law, Intellectual Property. 615 24$aLegal Aspects of Computing. 615 24$aBig Data/Analytics. 676 $a342.0858 702 $aWerro$b Franz$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910410024703321 996 $aThe Right To Be Forgotten$91963562 997 $aUNINA 999 $aBOOK
