It comprises in its common wide sense some 180?190 species and is the largest and name-giving genus of the subtribe Scorzonerinae of the chicory tribe in the sunflower family (Asteraceae). Its circumscription has long been the subject of debate and available molecular phylogenetic analyses affirmed the polyphyly of Scorzonera in its wide sense. This paper presents a re-evaluation of Scorzonera and its related genera, based on carpological (including anatomical) and molecular phylogenetic analyses of a comprehensive sampling, for the first time spanning the entire subtribe and all major groups. Confirming the polyphyly of Scorzonera, this paper offers a revised classification of the subtribe, which recognises seven genera in accordance with the phylogenetic lineages resolved: Gelasia, Lipschitzia gen. nov., Pseudopodospermum, Pterachaenia, Ramaliella gen. nov., Scorzonera and Takhtajaniantha. A key to the revised genera and a characterisation of the genera and major clades are provided. 517 $aScorzonera sensu lato 606 $aPerennials 615 0$aPerennials. 676 $a635.932 700 $aKilian$b Norbert$01348597 702 $aZaika$b Maxim A. 702 $aSukhorukov$b Alexander P. 702 $aKrinitsina$b Anastasiya A. 702 $aJones$b Katy 702 $aSperanskaya$b Anna S. 702 $aNilova$b Maya V. 801 0$bNjHacI 801 1$bNjHacl 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910404246303321 996 $aScorzonera sensu lato (Asteraceae, Cichorieae)$93086154 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03993nam 22006374a 450 001 9910779954603321 005 20230607213032.0 010 $a0-313-00516-8 010 $a0-585-39142-4 035 $a(CKB)111056485489500 035 $a(EBL)3000261 035 $a(OCoLC)49569795 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000137786 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11134664 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000137786 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10096481 035 $a(PQKB)11208721 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL3000261 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr5005138 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC3000261 035 $a(EXLCZ)99111056485489500 100 $a20000225d2001 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcn||||||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 00$aDeveloping non-hierarchical leadership on campus$b[electronic resource] $ecase studies and best practices in higher education /$fedited by Charles L.
