Considering their potential toxic and carcinogenic effects, mycotoxin exposure assessment has particular importance in the context of health risk assessment. The magnitude of a given exposure allows the derivation of the associated risk and the potential for the establishment of a disease. Although food ingestion is considered a major route of human exposure to mycotoxins, other contexts may also result in exposure, such as specific occupational environments where exposure to organic dust also occurs due to the handling of organic materials. Animals could be exposed to mycotoxins through consumption of contaminated feed, subsequently entering in the food chain and thus constituting a source of exposure to humans. Human biomonitoring is considered a new frontier for the establishment of the human internal exposure to mycotoxins. Although several studies have summarized the potential outcomes associated with mycotoxin exposure, major gaps in data remain in recognizing the mycotoxins that are the cause of diseases. This book contributes provides research that supports the anticipation of potential consequences of the exposure of humans and animals to mycotoxins, future risk assessments, and the establishment of preventive measures. 610 $aabsorption 610 $aaffinity 610 $aaflatoxin B1 610 $aAflatoxin B1 610 $aAflatoxin M1 610 $aAlloprevotella 610 $aasymmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometer 610 $abiomonitoring 610 $ablood serum 610 $abroilers 610 $aCecal Tonsil 610 $aCecum 610 $achildren 610 $aclinical chemistry 610 $acytotoxicity 610 $adoses 610 $aFab' 610 $afeed prevalence and safety 610 $afood consumption 610 $afumonisin B1 610 $afumonisins 610 $aFusarium mycotoxins co-contamination 610 $ahistopathology 610 $aHPLC analysis 610 $aHT-2 toxin 610 $aintestinal microbiome 610 $aintestinal mycobiome 610 $aKashin-Beck disease 610 $alab-on-chip 610 $aLactobacillus casei Shirota 610 $alimit of detection 610 $alipids 610 $aliver 610 $ametagenomic sequencing 610 $amicrobiota 610 $amitigation 610 $amodelling 610 $amodified HSCAS 610 $amycotoxin binding 610 $amycotoxins 610 $amycotoxins mixture 610 $an/a 610 $aoccupational exposure 610 $aochratoxin A 610 $aoptical biosensors 610 $aoxidation 610 $aphospholipids 610 $apiglet 610 $aPoultry 610 $apre-pubertal gilts 610 $apublic health 610 $arisk assessment 610 $aRNAseq 610 $aswine production 610 $aT-2 toxin 610 $atotal diet study 610 $aTranscriptome 610 $atriiodothyronine 610 $aTurkey 610 $aurinary biomarkers 610 $aVietnam 610 $ayeast cell wall extracts 610 $azearalenone 700 $aViegas$b Susana$4auth$01278674 702 $aAssunc?a?o$b Ricardo$4auth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910404083903321 996 $aMycotoxin Exposure and Related Diseases$93013713 997 $aUNINA
