These results are directly applicable to the generation and storage of large quantities of hyperpolarized 129Xe for various applications, such as lung magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The thesis features a sophisticated theoretical approach to these data sets, including modifications to a well-established Raman-phonon scattering theory that may explain the larger scatter in and discrepancies with previous work. 410 0$aSpringer Theses, Recognizing Outstanding Ph.D. Research,$x2190-5053 606 $aSpectrum analysis 606 $aMicroscopy 606 $aLow temperatures 606 $aLow temperatures 606 $aSpectroscopy and Microscopy$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P31090 606 $aLow Temperature Physics$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P25130 606 $aSpectroscopy/Spectrometry$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/C11020 615 0$aSpectrum analysis. 615 0$aMicroscopy. 615 0$aLow temperatures. 615 0$aLow temperatures. 615 14$aSpectroscopy and Microscopy. 615 24$aLow Temperature Physics. 615 24$aSpectroscopy/Spectrometry. 676 $a538.3 700 $aLimes$b Mark E$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0792215 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910300429803321 996 $a129 Xe Relaxation and Rabi Oscillations$91771448 997 $aUNINA
