Understanding the impact of these various agents on diverse host species requires the combined efforts of ecologists, veterinarians, pathologists, comparative immunologists and molecular virologists. Unfortunately, investigators involved in these studies often work in discipline-specific silos that preclude interaction with others whose insights and approaches are required to comprehensively address problems related to ranavirus/iridovirus disease. Our intent here is to breakdown these silos and provide a forum where diverse researchers with a common interest in ranavirus/iridovirus biology can profitably interact. As a colleague once quipped, ?Three people make a genius.? We are hoping to do something along those lines by presenting a collection of research articles dealing with issues of anti-viral immunity, identification of a potentially novel viral genus exemplified by erythrocytic necrosis virus, viral inhibition of innate immunity, identification of novel hosts for lymphocystivirus and invertebrate iridoviruses, and modelling studies of ranavirus transmission. Collectively these and others will exemplify the breadth of ongoing studies focused on this virus family. 610 $arisk assessment 610 $aCQIV 610 $amathematical models 610 $aamphibian 610 $airidovirus 610 $aISDL 610 $aExopalaemon carinicauda 610 $aviral load 610 $avirus isolation 610 $aEuropean chub 610 $aoutbreak 610 $aUnconventional T cell 610 $aearly detection 610 $asusceptible species 610 $aviral immune evasion 610 $aDNA virus 610 $aRana grylio virus 610 $aantibody 610 $aintracellular localization 610 $aRana grylio virus (RGV) 610 $aBritish Columbia 610 $aIridoviridae 610 $aAndrias davidianus ranavirus 610 $aviral infection 610 $asusceptible-infected (SI) models 610 $ayeast two-hybrid (Y2H) 610 $aprevalence 610 $ahost-pathogen interactions 610 $aPacific herring 610 $aProcambarus clarkii 610 $aBayesian inference 610 $aeDNA 610 $aamphibians 610 $aArtemia spp. 610 $aranavirosis 610 $across-species transmission 610 $aFV3 610 $aSHIV 610 $aGryllus bimaculatus 610 $aPacific salmon 610 $aNF-?B 610 $acricket 610 $aIIV-6 610 $avirus binding 610 $aerythrocytic necrosis virus (ENV) 610 $aenvelope protein 610 $airidovirus core proteins 610 $aemerging infection 610 $ahost 610 $aRanavirus 610 $awhite head 610 $aRana temporaria 610 $aImd 610 $abiosecurity 610 $aantiviral immunity 610 $aDecapodiridovirus 610 $aendemic disease 610 $aMacrobrachium rosenbergii 610 $aco-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP) 610 $aCommon frog 610 $aaquatic animals 610 $avirus surveillance 610 $aimmunomodulators 610 $afrog virus 3 610 $aELISA 610 $aDIV1 610 $amegalocytivirus 610 $aLymphocystis disease virus 610 $abearded dragon 610 $asusceptibility 610 $aprotein interaction 610 $aPogona vitticeps 610 $aviral erythrocytic necrosis (VEN) 610 $ahistopathology 610 $aepidemiology 610 $anative-fish conservation 610 $aviral transmission 610 $aSparus aurata 610 $aimmunohistochemistry 610 $alizard 610 $adisease dynamics 610 $aimmunofluorescence 610 $atransmission modelling 610 $aMacrobrachium nipponense 610 $ainterferon 610 $anonclassical MHC 610 $aheparan sulfate 610 $aranavirus 610 $aMexico 700 $aChinchar$b Gregory$4auth$01320456 702 $aDuffus$b Amanda$4auth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910367754803321 996 $aFamily Iridoviridae Molecular and Ecological Studies of a Family Infecting Invertebrates and Ectothermic Vertebrates$93034330 997 $aUNINA
