It encompasses common and very unusual pathology and every imaging modality. The book is divided into four parts on pathology of the vascular system, the chest, the abdomen and pelvis, and the reproductive organs. At the beginning of the presentation of each condition, the diagnosis and expected imaging features are set out. Images obtained with the modalities that best depict that particular abnormality are then presented, with marking of the salient pathology for easy understanding. Brief captions cite the clinical indication, explain the marked abnormal imaging features, and identify the modality and its characteristics. Whenever possible, differential diagnosis is covered using further images so the reader can see the spectrum of imaging features that distinguish pathologies despite similar clinical presentation. In addition, guidance is provided on selection of further modalities to confirm the diagnosis.  The book will be of value to a wide audience: It will help residents to analyze different diseases and relate pathophysiology to imaging and assist students in appreciating what is normal and what is abnormal. It will serve as a useful guide to the busy practicing radiologist, especially when encountering an unusual case. Finally, it will aid clinicians in understanding the complexity of these acute clinical problems and in delivering better focused treatment. 606 $aRadiology 606 $aEmergency medicine 606 $aInternal medicine 606 $aDiagnostic Radiology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/H29013 606 $aEmergency Medicine$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/H22000 606 $aInternal Medicine$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/H33002 615 0$aRadiology. 615 0$aEmergency medicine. 615 0$aInternal medicine. 615 14$aDiagnostic Radiology. 615 24$aEmergency Medicine. 615 24$aInternal Medicine. 676 $a610 676 $a616 676 $a616.07/57 676 $a616.0757 676 $a616025 700 $aAgarwala$b Rita$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0789149 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910300228503321 996 $aAtlas of Emergency Radiology$91759922 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04282nam 2201021z- 450 001 9910367741203321 005 20210211 010 $a3-03921-933-2 035 $a(CKB)4100000010106305 035 $a(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/40340 035 $a(oapen)doab40340 035 $a(EXLCZ)994100000010106305 100 $a20202102d2019 |y 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurmn|---annan 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 00$aAdvances in Prevention of Foodborne Pathogens of Public Health Concern during Manufacturing 210 $cMDPI - Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute$d2019 215 $a1 online resource (168 p.) 311 08$a3-03921-932-4 330 $aAccording to a report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), achieving safe and healthier foods was one of the top ten achievements of public health in the 20th century. However, considerable persisting challenges currently exist in developed nations and developing economies for further assuring the safety and security of the food supplies. According to CDC estimates, as many as 3000 American adults, as an example, and based on a recent epidemiological estimate of the World Health Organization, around 420,000 individuals around the globe, lose their lives annually due to foodborne diseases. This emphasizes the need for innovative and emerging interventions, for further prevention or mitigation of the risk of foodborne microbial pathogens during food processing and manufacturing. The current publication discusses recent advancements and progress in the elimination and decontamination of microbial pathogens during various stages of manufacturing and production. Special emphasis is placed on hurdle validation studies, investigating decontamination of non-typhoidal Salmonella enterica serovars, various serogroups of Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli, public health-significant serotypes of Listeria monocytogenes, and pathogenic species of Cronobacter. 606 $aMedicine and Nursing$2bicssc 610 $abacteria 610 $abeef 610 $abile acids 610 $abiocidal effectiveness 610 $abiofilm formation 610 $abiosensors 610 $ablackberry 610 $ablueberry 610 $acaprylic acid 610 $acarbon dioxide 610 $acarvacrol 610 $aCronobacter outbreaks 610 $aCronobacter sakazakii 610 $adietary bioactive components 610 $adisinfectants 610 $aepithelial barrier 610 $aEscherichia coli 610 $aEscherichia coli (STEC) 610 $aessential oils 610 $afood borne pathogens 610 $afood safety 610 $afoodborne pathogens 610 $afungi 610 $agrape 610 $agut microbiota 610 $ahabituation 610 $ahigh hydrostatic pressure 610 $ahigh-pressure pasteurization 610 $ainfant care setting 610 $aListeria monocytogenes 610 $amicrofluidic chip 610 $amodified atmosphere packaging 610 $an/a 610 $anatural background microflora 610 $anitrogen 610 $anon-ozonated water 610 $aozon 610 $aozonated water 610 $aplant extracts 610 $apostharvest diseases 610 $apowdered infant formula 610 $apreventive measures 610 $arapid detection 610 $araspberry 610 $araw milk 610 $asalmonellosis 610 $aserogroups 610 $aShiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli 610 $aShiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) 610 $asmall fruits 610 $astainless steel 610 $astrawberry 610 $astx-genes 610 $astx-subtypes 610 $asynergism of mild heat and pressure 610 $atemperature 615 7$aMedicine and Nursing 676 $a579/.16 702 $aBisha$b Bledar 702 $aFouladkhah$b Aliyar Cyrus 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910367741203321 996 $aAdvances in Prevention of Foodborne Pathogens of Public Health Concern during Manufacturing$93021735 997 $aUNINA
