However, considerable persisting challenges currently exist in developed nations and developing economies for further assuring the safety and security of the food supplies. According to CDC estimates, as many as 3000 American adults, as an example, and based on a recent epidemiological estimate of the World Health Organization, around 420,000 individuals around the globe, lose their lives annually due to foodborne diseases. This emphasizes the need for innovative and emerging interventions, for further prevention or mitigation of the risk of foodborne microbial pathogens during food processing and manufacturing. The current publication discusses recent advancements and progress in the elimination and decontamination of microbial pathogens during various stages of manufacturing and production. Special emphasis is placed on hurdle validation studies, investigating decontamination of non-typhoidal Salmonella enterica serovars, various serogroups of Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli, public health-significant serotypes of Listeria monocytogenes, and pathogenic species of Cronobacter. 606 $aFood contamination 606 $aFood$xMicrobiology 610 $abacteria 610 $astainless steel 610 $aEscherichia coli 610 $abiofilm formation 610 $abeef 610 $apowdered infant formula 610 $abile acids 610 $astx-subtypes 610 $araw milk 610 $aShiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli 610 $aCronobacter sakazakii 610 $asynergism of mild heat and pressure 610 $araspberry 610 $ablueberry 610 $abiocidal effectiveness 610 $asalmonellosis 610 $aListeria monocytogenes 610 $asmall fruits 610 $abiosensors 610 $afood borne pathogens 610 $agrape 610 $apostharvest diseases 610 $amodified atmosphere packaging 610 $ahigh hydrostatic pressure 610 $aepithelial barrier 610 $acarvacrol 610 $adietary bioactive components 610 $arapid detection 610 $aessential oils 610 $aozon 610 $astx-genes 610 $aCronobacter outbreaks 610 $ahabituation 610 $aplant extracts 610 $aEscherichia coli (STEC) 610 $aozonated water 610 $adisinfectants 610 $acaprylic acid 610 $afoodborne pathogens 610 $atemperature 610 $anatural background microflora 610 $apreventive measures 610 $acarbon dioxide 610 $anitrogen 610 $astrawberry 610 $ahigh-pressure pasteurization 610 $agut microbiota 610 $afood safety 610 $aShiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) 610 $amicrofluidic chip 610 $afungi 610 $ablackberry 610 $aserogroups 610 $ainfant care setting 610 $anon-ozonated water 615 0$aFood contamination. 615 0$aFood$xMicrobiology. 676 $a579/.16 702 $aBisha$b Bledar 702 $aFouladkhah$b Aliyar Cyrus 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910367741203321 996 $aAdvances in Prevention of Foodborne Pathogens of Public Health Concern during Manufacturing$93021735 997 $aUNINA
