New Christians, i.e. Conversos (converted Jews) and Moriscos (converted Muslims), but also their offspring, were thought to be inferior Christians and always tending towards apostasy. At the turn of the 17th century an increased interest in bodily markers to proof the presumed inferiority of the so-called New Christians can be observed. The book focusses on the question how the apologists of the purity-of-blood statutes used the idea of inherited bodily markers to promote a genealogical racism in early modern Iberia. 606 $aReligion / Biblical Studies / History & Culture$2bisacsh 606 $aReligion 610 $aReligion 610 $aBiblical Studies 610 $aHistory & Culture 615 7$aReligion / Biblical Studies / History & Culture 615 0$aReligion 700 $aGebke$b Julia$4aut$0917097 801 0$bScCtBLL 801 1$bScCtBLL 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910360253003321 996 $aFremd)Körper$92055943 997 $aUNINA LEADER 05025nam 2200397 450 001 9910741317003321 005 20240215214318.0 010 $a1-83768-659-9 024 7 $a10.5772/intechopen.104146 035 $a(CKB)5680000000346603 035 $a(NjHacI)995680000000346603 035 $a(EXLCZ)995680000000346603 100 $a20240215d2023 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aHuman Teeth $eFrom Function to Esthetics /$fLavinia Cosmina Ardelean, Laura-Cristina Rusu 210 1$aLondon :$cIntechOpen,$d2023. 215 $a1 online resource (418 pages) 225 0 $aDentistry 311 $a1-83768-658-0 327 $a1.
