But its central position in the region, situated between east and west, and between Catholic and Orthodox Christianity, meant it was heavily influenced, both politically and culturally by the Venetian Republic, the Hungarian Kingdom, and the Byzantine Empire. Due to language issues and scarcity of sources, this region has largely been overlooked by western historiography. This volume features contributions from an exciting new generation of medievalists, who are working to rectify this gap in the narrative. 410 0$aBeyond medieval Europe. 606 $aHISTORY / Medieval$2bisacsh 607 $aBosnia and Herzegovina$xHistory$yTo 1463 607 $aBosnia and Herzegovina$xHistory$y1463-1878 607 $aBosnia and Herzegovina$xForeign relations 607 $aBalkan Peninsula$xHistory 607 $aBalkan Peninsula$xForeign relations 610 $aAdriatic World. 610 $aBosnia. 610 $aMedieval History. 610 $aSouth-East Europe. 615 7$aHISTORY / Medieval. 676 $a949.74201 702 $aDautovic?$b Dz?enan 702 $aFilipovic?$b Emir O.$f1984- 702 $aIsailovic$b Neven 801 0$bUkCbUP 801 1$bUkCbUP 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910808837103321 996 $aMedieval Bosnia and south-east European relations$94051423 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04562nam 22008055 450 001 9910349512403321 005 20251107173016.0 010 $a3-030-22196-2 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-030-22196-6 035 $a(CKB)4100000009152656 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5887762 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-030-22196-6 035 $a(PPN)269145575 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5918095 035 $a(EXLCZ)994100000009152656 100 $a20190827d2019 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aProgress in Turbulence VIII $eProceedings of the iTi Conference in Turbulence 2018 /$fedited by Ramis Örlü, Alessandro Talamelli, Joachim Peinke, Martin Oberlack 205 $a1st ed. 2019. 210 1$aCham :$cSpringer International Publishing :$cImprint: Springer,$d2019. 215 $a1 online resource (348 pages) 225 1 $aSpringer Proceedings in Physics,$x1867-4941 ;$v226 311 08$a3-030-22195-4 327 $aInter-scale energy transfer in a multi-scale flow -- Three-dimensional global stability on Stuart vortex of free shear layer -- Near-wall turbulence in a localized puff in a pipe -- Reduced description and modelling of small-scale turbulence by means of a tensorial turbulent viscosity -- Symmetry-Based Turbulence Modeling -- Development of a linear mode in a turbulent boundary layer -- Spanwise organisation of buffer layer coherent structures -- Shear/buoyancy interaction in wall bounded turbulent flows -- Logarithmic behaviour of wall-attached structures in wall-bounded turbulent flows -- Law of the wall and law of the wake in turbulent parallel flow -- Large-scale energy in turbulent boundary layers: Reynolds-number and pressure-gradient effects -- Identifying the wall signature of large-scale motions with extended POD -- Roughness and Reynolds number effects on the flow past a rough-to-smooth step change -- Flow dynamics in the roughness sublayer of atmospheric boundary layers -- Convection velocities in turbulent boundary layers over rough surfaces -- Influence of upstream perturbations on wall heat transfer via large-scale motions -- Turbulence production in the low polymer drag reduction regime. 330 $aThis volume collects the edited and reviewed contributions presented in the 8th iTi Conference on Turbulence, held in Bertinoro, Italy, in September 2018. In keeping with the spirit of the conference, the book was produced afterwards, so that the authors had the opportunity to incorporate comments and discussions raised during the event. The respective contributions, which address both fundamental and applied aspects of turbulence, have been structured according to the following main topics: I Theory II Wall-bounded flows III Simulations and modelling IV Experiments V Miscellaneous topics VI Wind energy. 410 0$aSpringer Proceedings in Physics,$x1867-4941 ;$v226 606 $aDynamics 606 $aNonlinear theories 606 $aNonlinear Optics 606 $aFluid mechanics 606 $aMultibody systems 606 $aVibration 606 $aMechanics, Applied 606 $aContinuum mechanics 606 $aDifferential equations 606 $aApplied Dynamical Systems 606 $aNonlinear Optics 606 $aEngineering Fluid Dynamics 606 $aMultibody Systems and Mechanical Vibrations 606 $aContinuum Mechanics 606 $aDifferential Equations 615 0$aDynamics. 615 0$aNonlinear theories. 615 0$aNonlinear Optics. 615 0$aFluid mechanics. 615 0$aMultibody systems. 615 0$aVibration. 615 0$aMechanics, Applied. 615 0$aContinuum mechanics. 615 0$aDifferential equations. 615 14$aApplied Dynamical Systems. 615 24$aNonlinear Optics. 615 24$aEngineering Fluid Dynamics. 615 24$aMultibody Systems and Mechanical Vibrations. 615 24$aContinuum Mechanics. 615 24$aDifferential Equations. 676 $a620.1064 676 $a532.0527 702 $aÖrlü$b Ramis$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aTalamelli$b Alessandro$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aPeinke$b Joachim$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aOberlack$b Martin$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910349512403321 996 $aProgress in Turbulence VIII$92544758 997 $aUNINA
