Einstein viewed this theory as "spooky action at a distance" which, together with randomness, resulted in him being unable to accept quantum theory. The contributions in the book describe, in detail, the bizarre aspects of nonlocality, such as Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen steering and quantum teleportation-a phenomenon which cannot be explained in the framework of classical physics, due its foundations in quantum entanglement. The contributions describe the role of nonlocality in the rapidly developing field of quantum information. Nonlocal quantum effects in various systems, from solid-state quantum devices to organic molecules in proteins, are discussed. The most surprising papers in this book challenge the concept of the nonlocality of Nature, and look for possible modifications, extensions, and new formulations-from retrocausality to novel types of multiple-world theories. These attempts have not yet been fully successful, but they provide hope for modifying quantum theory according to Einstein's vision. 610 $aStern?Gerlach experiment 610 $achannel entropy 610 $anon-locality 610 $anonsignaling 610 $aretro-causal channel 610 $acommunication complexity 610 $acontrolled-NOT 610 $aBell test 610 $aquantum measurement 610 $aquantum mechanics 610 $aquantum transport 610 $asemiconductor nanodevices 610 $aoptimization 610 $aquantum correlation 610 $aPR Box 610 $anon-linear Schrödinger model 610 $aretrocausality 610 $aentanglement 610 $adevice-independent 610 $aEinstein?Podolsky?Rosen argument 610 $aquantum nonlocality 610 $aparallel lives 610 $aPR box 610 $anonlocal correlations 610 $ahypothesis testing 610 $aquantum bounds 610 $achannel capacity 610 $aWigner-function simulations 610 $aquantum correlations 610 $aquantum 610 $apre- and post-selected systems 610 $alocal hidden variables 610 $adensity-matrix formalism 610 $acollapse of the quantum state 610 $alocal polytope 610 $aquantum teleportation of unknown qubit 610 $aparity measurements 610 $auncertainty relations 610 $anonlocality 610 $ahybrid entanglement 610 $aselectivity filter 610 $ap-value 610 $asteering 610 $aaxioms for quantum theory 610 $ano-signalling 610 $aion channels 610 $aKS Box 610 $aEPR steering 610 $alocal realism 610 $aNon-contextuality inequality 610 $aentropic uncertainty relation 610 $acontinuous-variable states 610 $anonlocal dissipation models 610 $aBell?s theorem 610 $atsallis entropy 610 $aclassical limit 610 $ageneral entropies 610 $apigeonhole principle 610 $abiological quantum decoherence 610 $adiscrete-variable states 700 $aVaidman$b Lev$01281243 801 0$bScCtBLL 801 1$bScCtBLL 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910346840603321 996 $aQuantum Nonlocality$93018415 997 $aUNINA
