However, the current evidence base suggests that fatty acids also influences cardiometabolic diseases through other mechanisms including effects on glucose metabolism, body fat distribution, blood pressure, inflammation, and heart rate. Furthermore, studies evaluating single fatty acids have challenged the simplistic view of shared health effects within fatty acid groups categorized by degree of saturation. In addition, investigations of endogenous fatty acid metabolism, including genetic studies of fatty acid metabolizing enzymes, and the identification of novel metabolically derived fatty acids have further increased the complexity of fatty acids' health impacts. This Special Issue aims to include original research and up-to-date reviews on genetic and dietary modulation of fatty acids, and the role and function of dietary and metabolically derived fatty acids in cardiometabolic health. 606 $aBiology, life sciences$2bicssc 610 $acoronary artery disease 610 $an-6 fatty acids 610 $aischemic heart disease 610 $an-3 fatty acids 610 $abody weight 610 $aalternatively activated macrophages 610 $atype 2 cytokines 610 $achildren 610 $amedium-chain triglyceride 610 $afat 610 $aomega-3 PUFA 610 $asubstitution models 610 $aobesity 610 $aEETs 610 $aarachidonic acid 610 $ablood pressure 610 $aGenome-wide association study (GWAS) 610 $aantioxidant 610 $aMediterranean diet 610 $aInsulin sensitivity 610 $aPUFA 610 $an-3 PUFA 610 $along-chain triglyceride 610 $afish oil 610 $aomega 3 610 $aCAD 610 $aadipose tissue 610 $aFADS 610 $ablood lipids 610 $ahemodynamics 610 $agenotype 610 $aerucic acid 610 $aklotho 610 $aCYP450 eicosanoids 610 $acardiometabolic disease 610 $afibrosis 610 $adesaturase 610 $aEEQs 610 $acohort study 610 $alipid metabolism 610 $afatty acid 610 $ametabolic disease 610 $aepidemiology 610 $aomega-3 610 $ainflammation 610 $adocosapentaenoic acid 610 $aomega-6 PUFA 610 $atype 2 diabetes mellitus 610 $adiet 610 $aCKD 610 $ahuman 610 $aperivascular adipose tissue 610 $aseafood 610 $acardiovascular disease 610 $aprospective cohort study 610 $alinoleic acid 610 $alow-fat diet 610 $aconjugated fatty acids 610 $afuran fatty acids 610 $aunsaturated fat 610 $astatins 610 $afish 610 $acholesterol ester 610 $aCHD 610 $aCOPD 615 7$aBiology, life sciences 700 $aMarklund$b Matti$01788412 702 $aWu$b Jason 801 0$bScCtBLL 801 1$bScCtBLL 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910346838103321 996 $aFatty Acids and Cardiometabolic Health$94323254 997 $aUNINA
