We invited authors to submit their theoretical or experimental research presenting engineering and economic problem solution models dealing with the symmetry or asymmetry of different types of information. The issue gained interest in the research community and received many submissions. After rigorous scientific evaluation by editors and reviewers, nine papers were accepted and published. The authors proposed different MADM and MODM solution models as integrated tools to find a balance between the components of sustainable global development, to find a symmetry axis concerning goals, risks, and constraints to cope with the complicated problems. Most approaches suggested decision models under uncertainty, combining the usual decision-making methods with interval-valued fuzzy or rough sets theory, also Z numbers. The application fields of the proposed models involved both problems of technological sciences and social sciences. The papers cover three essential areas: engineering, economy, and management. We hope that a summary of the Special Issue as provided here will encourage a detailed analysis of the papers included in the Printed Edition. 606 $aHistory of engineering and technology$2bicssc 610 $a2-tuple linguistic neutrosophic numbers set (2TLNNSs) 610 $abackward cloud transformation 610 $aBayes' theorem 610 $aBonferroni mean (BM) operator 610 $acapital injection 610 $acombining the weights 610 $acontrol system 610 $acriteria weight assessment 610 $acriteria weights 610 $adata envelopment analysis 610 $adata logger 610 $adual generalized Bonferroni mean (DGBM) operator 610 $adual generalized geometric Bonferroni mean (DGGBM) operator 610 $aeconomic decisions 610 $aengineering problems 610 $aevaluating the quality of distant courses 610 $aexcess-of-loss reinsurance 610 $aFAHP 610 $afull fuzzy environment 610 $afuzzy efficiency 610 $afuzzy sets 610 $ageneralized Bonferroni mean (GBM) operator 610 $agreen supplier selection 610 $agreen supply chain management 610 $agroup decision-making 610 $ahybrid MCDM 610 $ahybrid problem solution models 610 $aIDOCRIW 610 $ainformation theory 610 $ainterval type-2 fuzzy set (IT2FS) 610 $alogistics 610 $aMCDM 610 $aMCGDM 610 $ameasurement 610 $amulti-criteria decision-making (MCDM) 610 $amultiple attribute decision making (MADM) 610 $amultiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) 610 $aneutrosophic numbers 610 $anonlinear dynamics 610 $anormal cloud 610 $aoptimal dividend 610 $aoscillations 610 $apattern formation 610 $aperformance 610 $apopulation sizes 610 $aprobabilistic systems analysis 610 $apublic management 610 $aPythagorean fuzzy set 610 $aquadcopter 610 $aresources distribution 610 $arough ARAS 610 $arough sets 610 $asalvage value 610 $asensor 610 $astability 610 $aStep-wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) 610 $asubjective weights 610 $asymmetry of the method 610 $athe criteria of the weights 610 $athrust 610 $atransaction cost 610 $atransport 610 $aZ-numbers 615 7$aHistory of engineering and technology 700 $aAntuchevi?ien?$b Jurgita$4auth$01294171 702 $aTurskis$b Zenonas$4auth 702 $aZavadskas$b Edmundas Kazimieras$4auth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910346836403321 996 $aSolution Models based on Symmetric and Asymmetric Information$93028064 997 $aUNINA
